88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 mdanberg (1) Newark, Delaware | December 31, 2012 Stopped in briefly after a show across the street. I was fairly impressed with the selection as I haven’t seen a lot of the beers outside of Philly (I live in DE). I’ll definitely be back again next time I’m in the area. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Capa (248) Manama, Bahrain | December 7, 2012 Nice addition to the growing Frankford/Girard intersection area of bars and restaurants. Long row of coolers on your left as you enter with some warm belgians and such on your right. Bottles can be drank at the bar or taken home. They have eight taps pouring now and most can be bought in goblet, pint, or growler size. The bottle list is pretty extensive and impressive. Pricing is average for Philly but may be a touch cheaper than the Foodery. Service was great when I stopped in even though they were busy getting ready for First Friday. Met a few of the owners/employees and they just seem like friendly folks who like good beer. The kitchen opens at four and while I didn’t have anything it smelled awesome. Five or six sandwiches and an assortment of pickles, cheeses, and meats. Pretty chill place and I’m sure I’ll be back for more. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 watson1977 (114) The dub c, Pennsylvania | November 13, 2012 Cool little spot in the fishtown area by johnny brend’s, fette sau, and frankford hall. Bottle shop with a huge and very nice selection of singles to go as you walk in...fairly bright in here. Bar is further back with 6 drafts...nice and interesting crafts...a little more dimly lit back here. Bottles can be drank at the bar or taken out. Growlers available. Friendly staff. |
