| EricSisson (11), Harrisburg, Pennsylvania | | April 4, 2012 Great distributor for the area, they seem to care a little more than the others! | | chimay67 (58), hunt sta, New York | | May 1, 2011 Places like the Brass Rail help take the pain out of the stupidity that are PA beer laws. Very good prices on very good beers. Just beware that they don’t have a lot of room on the floor so if you don’t see what you are looking for, or if you need more cases of something be sure to ask the employees.
Only annoying thing is the need to provide ID and info if buying more than 4 cases. Fortunately you only have to fo this once.
Lot’s of Bell’s, Founder’s, Trappist Ales, Terrapin, Troeg’s, Weyerbacher, North Coast, Lost Abbey, Pizza Port and other well rated North American brews to be found here. I think the prices/selection for the ares make it a worthwhile stop when in the area.
Affiliated deli next door has singles, sixes and subs to go.
| | machfive55 (35), Columbia, Pennsylvania | | March 16, 2009 Right beside the Brass Rail Deli, which is becoming a regular spot for me, I had to take a walk and check out the case store. Very nice layout with the export and micro brews in their own area, separated from the macro stuff. They have a very good selection of the rarer and more expensive beers, and their prices reflect that. There was only one staff member around and they asked if I needed help, the store was not at all busy. It is a small place, but they have a good selection. It’s all cases, if you want singles and sixers, walk next door.0 | | djaquay (10), Ephrata, Pennsylvania | | August 6, 2008 All three people I encountered here were very friendly and eager to help. I told them just how painfully new I was/am to decent beer, and two guys tagteamed me, spending 10-15 mins answering questions and pointing things out. Quite impressed. | | FooFaa (25), Lebanon, Pennsylvania | | April 8, 2008 This by far the best distributor in Lebanon County. They have a great selection with a surprisingly high turnover of American micros and imports given the area. Very nice selection including: Founders (Centennial IPA, Breakfast Stout, Blushing Monk, etc), Hoppin’ Frog (Black and Tan, BORIS, Hoppin’ to Heavin, Mean Manalishi), Bell’s (Expedition, Two Hearted, Hop Slam, etc), Stone (Ruination, IPA, RIS), Moylans, DFH, Victory, etc. Great selection of imports and Belgians. As has already been said, lots of parking, clean, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. | | kmweaver (116), Santa Rosa, California | | November 25, 2007 Very nicely arranged case shop, almost in the middle of nowhere (but quite close to Hershey). Excellent selection of U.S. and foreign micros, including Founders, Bells, Stone, DFH, Hoppin Frog, etc., plus a lot of lesser-known mid-Atlantic cases. Trappist selection is solid. Very helpful staff, clean store, and plenty of parking. Glassware and t-shirts and such as well. You can tell the people here know what they’re doing, and micros seem to take preference over macros (front of the store, high visibility and turnover). No rare finds (the place is only three years old), but a great place to buy current releases. Highly recommended. | can040399 (1), Campbelltown, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | January 14, 2006 [ Updated April 22, 2006 ] They have a very wide selection of micro’s and imports. Also has a list of the top 100 beers with RateBeer.com as a factor. Plenty of other information to complement their selection. Fairly knowledgable employees, and will give sample bottles of various is available. They have beer samplings every thursday. Clean, bright, friendly. | | Nejhleader (68), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania | | November 25, 2005 [ Updated October 24, 2007 ] not a bad place, but nothing too great. Has a decent selection of imports and micros in cases, but nothing to go ga-ga about. Pretty much your average beer store. |
