Visited monday 2nd March .. Nice place not so big like others places .. Not a big fan of kolsch in general and this one confirm my opinion .. Still worth the visit and the food is very good but the beer is just on average .. Don’t drink the malzbier ..

Visited before the renovation. Nice cafe with good food and above average kolsch, although I have to admit I find all kolsch pretty bland and the small measures for such low strength beer is annoying.

Entering a rating for this one as when I headed there for a taste of the infamous Mühlen Kölsch I found a building almost enitrely gutted and under intense renovation. There was definitely still some brewery activity going on (delivery trucks and such out back), but no door open to visitors. A shame.

Visited on several occasions 2013-2014. Not my favourite Kölsch by far, but distinct enough and unpasteurised to pop in once in a while on a layover, preferably with rucksacks and luggage, forcing yourself through that pesky revolving door leading into another Cologne monoculture living room (the Weizen and Malzbier are wisely neglected, the €14,99 up-market Von Mühlen "Sommelierbier" a running in-joke the waiters are in on). Slightly more expensive food options than elsewhere.

I would guess that this place is the closest (decent) place to our hotel, literally just around the corner. Me, dad & Barry visited here on Thursday 27th March 2014 following a big meal at the previous bar. This place appeared to be the first to offer us the more than just Kolsch with a wheat & low alchol malt beer also offered. This was a another place that was big on food & pork in particular. It was also very busy but we got a seat without too much trouble. The Kolsch here was one that we’d already had at the Brauhaus Putz, so a nice Kolsch but not as good as the Paffgen Kolsch. This was a big sprawling place with rooms off here & there as well as an upstairs seating area. We had just the one beer here before taking two wheat and one malt beer beer home with us, these cost wait for it.....€0.98c for the wheat & €0.88c for the malt, I had to check with the lady who got them for me if this price was right, unbelievably cheap. It was a nice place & handy to have on the doorstep.

Very traditional Kolsch bar. Not touristy as it is a bit further away from the cathedral. Good food and service. Standard wood panels. Probably my favourite Kolsch house.

Entering through the revolving door you will find a classical Cologne brew pub. Wood, three rooms plus some tables upstairs. Beer is limited to Mühlen Kölsch and seasonal specials from time to time. Service is friendly and quick. Food is ok, nothing special. Beer is definitely within the top three Kölsch. Very busy even in the early afternoon.

Atmospheric place in the centre of Köln. Probably the best Kölsch you can get IMO. Food was OK for good prices. Service as to be expected in the west of Germany: quick and uninterested. Not so many beers to try but I think you should when in Köln.

Great kolsch in a very authentic, welcoming locale. Only two beers on tap but a great experience.
