68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Fatehunter (32) Corbett, Oregon | February 2, 2013 One word: Tower. Bring your friends and get a tower beer. The beer is good and the food is better. I’ve had some great steaks and salads here. The service is good for a German place being rated by an American (you know what I mean if you know). I’ve been here countless times and wish I could go back. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 tderoeck (126) Gent, Belgium | September 27, 2012 Went here a couple of times together with Caytinator. The breakfast buffet is the best ever. Lots of choice, roasted chicken, roasted pork, chicken fingers, noodles, bread, croissants, cheese, jam, tomatoes, bacon, eggs, everything! And all of that for... 9 euro’s (or something like that). Totally worth it! They have a sample flight with all 4 beers on draft. One was with cascade hops, which made the beer stand out. Regular food was also good, decent schnitzel and chicken salad. If you’re in town, this is the place where you want to be! | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 Caytinator (63) Tucson, Arizona | February 6, 2012 The reason to go are the Brauhaus original beers, they are really tasty German traditionals, if not a little bit plain. No Bitburger here! Go for the seasonal tap if available. The "meter beer" is kind of a gimmick, but a fun one. The salads are HUGE and the food is really pretty good. The prices are average, and the location is fun. Service pretty good usually. | 50 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 11/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | October 30, 2011| Updated April 21, 2012 Large place with lots of different sections, including a very small patio in front where you can sip your beer and listen to the bells of the Stiftschurch. 3 regular beers (same as in every brewpub in Germany) and one seasonal (same as in every brewpub in Germany. You can try all 4 (0.1 liter sample size) for 3 euro 30. Recent evidence of brewing on site was noticeable. Tasty breakfast buffet and brunch on Sunday. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 Bierkrug (257) Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Germany | May 31, 2011| Updated April 21, 2012 This is a nice resturant as others have said. The beers I had were all mid level. The food is served in huge portions. Theyhave a nice beer garden in the back and tables on the street in the front. Serverice was spot on. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 oldrtybastrd (56) Fort Walton Beach, Florida | April 10, 2010| Updated April 21, 2012 Had an Outstanding Festbier(Nikolaus), the Alt and Helles were good. The last time we went is was smoky and had to leave after 1 beer. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 damjadi (4) Kaiserslautern, Germany | November 11, 2009| Updated April 21, 2012 Nice place with good beer. The pils is quite refreshing, but oddly thin. The weizen was also good. The other beers are hit or miss (although I appreciate the beer sampler). The food is good quality and the portions are large. The staff range from very on the ball to neglectful (even for Europeans). | 74 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 mcdav2154 (17) , Germany | October 19, 2009| Updated April 21, 2012 As a restaurant this place was awesome! The food was great and the serving sizes were rediculously huge. Two people could easily share one meal. The beer was a little disappointing in my opinion. All of them were a little off balance and unfortunately there was no Marzen brewed when we got there. The dunkel was probably the best with a decent weizen in second place. | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 Footler (5) Wyoming | September 1, 2009| Updated April 21, 2012 Of course I’m biased about this place and I’ll tell you why. They brew the best hefeweizen next to Weihenstephaner IN HOUSE! Yep, order a 5 litre tower of brew, a pizza or any of their delicious dinners, kick back and enjoy the evening outdoors. The last time I was here, I asked if they had beer to go. I was told to bring in a container and they’d hook me up. Damn, I wish that wasn’t the last time I went here.
Prrrrrrrrost!! | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 ekstedt (80) Göteborg, Sweden | March 25, 2008| Updated April 21, 2012 Very nice laid back place in the city center. The decoration is rustic, sober, and modern, and there is a big section outside, and a small indoor garden as well. Very friendly staff. Solid german food. The beer selection is limited with only the three regular pub brews and tap along with a rotating seasonal. |
