Stopped in here around noontime on a hot Saturday over Memorial Day weekend. Downtown was busy that morning from the farmer’s market, but this place was pretty quiet by the early afternoon. The building is really cool from the outside, an old building with a two-level porch. Inside, the place is really cool, with a big bar downstairs and mezzanine with more tables upstairs. The beer fridges had a lot of good regional, state, national, and international crafts, and the taps had the same great mix. From Granville to good Columbus stuff to Speedway variants and on, just a great selection for what’s probably a slower time of year for them. We only had a snack but it was tasty. Prices are fine, no complaints there. Granville is a bit out of the way, but this is an essential stop if you’re in town.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and some beer. Parking is on the street, but we only had to park a block or so away. The place wasn’t too busy and we were seated right away. The atmosphere here is pretty cool. Lots of beer signage and old world pub feel going on. The tap list was pretty impressive with Jackie-Os and Weasel Boy Bourbon Barreled Anastasia on draft and hundreds of bottles to choose from. Lots of limited release stuff to be had. Our waitress was very attentive and one of the most knowledgeable beer waitresses I’ve ever had. I got a goat cheese burger with habanero peppers on it that was enormous and delicious. It came with tortilla chips and some of the tastiest salsa I’ve encountered. I wish I would have had more of that salsa. Pricing is about on par for the area. Bottle prices seemed especially nice. If you ever get the chance to stop in to this place, you’re in for a treat. I will be back.

Went here a few times when our daughter went to college at Denison. Brews benefits from being the only game in town, but that said they still do a pretty good job. Don’t have the beer selection that places in Cleveland have, but for Granville it’s the best.

This place has a pretty wonderful beer selection and the ambiance is excellent. The upstairs (via the side staircase) is a complete dive--that part stays open much later than the proper bar, which was too bad, because it sharply limited my time in the bar. But fortunately Scott working at the bar was extremely kind and let me get a quick one (or two) in while he was sweeping up. A big thanks to him for that!

I live in Westerville, an Ohio town which also hosts a small college, but downtown Granville is quainter and seems to have more to offer than down-town Westerville. And Brews Cafe is a part of that appeal. They had an impressive beer list, and pretty decent food. I have a cousin at Dennison, and plan on visiting to drag my family back to Brews Cafe once school is back in session. I visited with Jabier and ate on the 2nd story balcony, so I didn’t get a very good feel for the interior other than that it was spacious and dark. The porch over-looked the main street running through town, and was a nice place to sit. The beer list was the biggest I’ve seen yet in an Ohio on-premise establishment. My food was OK - I had a Cuban sandwich which wasn’t grilled; it just came on a roll, and that isn’t a huge plus for me....it did taste good though and the fries were quite tasty for a sit-down place (usually I find that fast food has the best fries). The beer list was good, and my beer came in a style appropriate glass and seemed well cared for. I struck out a few times on the menu - it sort of annoys me when the beer list isn’t up-to-date, but that is a minor complaint. This place is a gem in the rough, and I plan on making a return visit.

What a great place to eat and drink in a quaint, little college town. The food was excellent and the beer selection was top notch. Our server was extremely friendly. In an otherwise lame beer area of Columbus, this Oasis will be visited by us on many occasions in the future. The pizzas are extremely good and so was the spinach dip.

What a find 25 miles or so east of Columbus. Solid draft list with a good mixture of styles. I tried Lindeman’s Pomme, Rogue Brutal Bitter, Breckenridge 471, and Delirium Noel on tap. Good bottle selection as well. Wood fired pizza with an extensive ingredient list for "build your own". The service was friendly and could answer most questions, what she didn’t readily know she went and found out. Nice old building in a quaint little college town. Excellent!!!!!!!!!

Very impressive selection of craft and rare beers on draft and by the bottle. Three floors with dining/bar on 1, dining area on 2, and Brews Too bar on 3. Food was good and moderately priced. Racer 5, Vertical Epic 07, Avery 14er on draft.
