RockyMTNKid (4), Calgary, Alberta does not count - explanation | | April 20, 2012 Attended a retirement party not too long ago at Brewseter on 11th and it was an ok location, the staff was good and the food was better than I was expecting. All in all I would go back. | | pumpmaster (43), Pembroke Pines, Florida | | June 25, 2011 Nice place with own parking. 11 draft beers available. Had the 5-beer sample for $8.50 | | dingbathero (10), Calgary, Alberta | | June 5, 2011 Went here with a few buddies to grab a bite and drink some beer (like u would) and they had a lot of their own brews on tap. We tried lots. Good atmosphere too. | | Savvy1982 (53), Lethbridge, Alberta | | February 20, 2011 I came to have lunch before the 2011 Heritage Classic. Sat down, waited 10 minutes for a waitress, despite being one of only 4 tables, then 5 minutes for a menu. The service here was APPALLING! Just beyond horrendous! I could understand if it was busy, and it did get busier later on, but it was quiet and the service was just awful. Had the Espresso Porter (terrible) and the Pale Ale (okay) as those were the most interesting option, as the rest of the lineup were either fruit beers, or under-hopped reds/browns/ambers. Food was outstanding, however, an excellent lunch. Overall, I was disappointed, though I will be back in the hopes that today’s service was not typical. | | hamfisted (28), Calgary, Alberta | | January 7, 2011 You know, Brewsters is pretty reasonable. On our list of places for pints, it’s in the top three. The brews aren’t bad - drinkable, okay pints, and full points for having seasonals (even if the servers are kind of clueless about them).
Plus, on a good day, go can steal wifi from the Safeway across the street. | | Maltybones (17), Calgary, Alberta | | April 20, 2010 Massive brewpub. Not the place to go if you want quiet intimacy, but definitely worth checking out for the beer and food. Good selection of about a dozen year round brews on tap, most of which are fairly solid. The real draw are their seasonal releases, which are always very well put together and are of some of the rarer styles to be found in Calgary. Food is well priced, good serving size and always well prepared. The staff are kept busy most nights but will go the extra distance to make sure you are taken care of. Bottles can be bought on site. | | patricks110 (28), Alberta | | July 27, 2009 I have been to Brewsters many times, mostly for their microbrews. Only recently was it that I actually ate a meal there. Good food, great unique microbrews and good service. Lots of TVs to watch the hockey or football games, and a neat circular bar. Overall, a pretty good establishment. Unfortunately, the beer and food is overpriced. ($6.50 for a pint). | | Cavie (80), Fort Worth, Texas | | July 18, 2009 Overall I had a good visit. The sampler pack is a good 25 oz in all. 5 oz glasses of everything they offer. I split it with 2 friends so we tried everything they offered. The ambiance of the place was rather enjoyable. A relaxing place that was decorated very upscale. The food was very well prepared and I enjoyed it quite a bit. | | goatboy (42), Vancouver, British Columbia | | July 9, 2009 Great location, Warm and cozy inviting pub type of place with lots of booths and tabels to watch people from. Good Service and the food is better than average, Selection of beer is average, Heineken, Corona, Stella Ect, they also brew thier own Beer and I like thier Barley Wine. it’s a nice place to go if your meeting someone, but its quite loud and packed on a Hockey Night. The Map is wrong as the pub is on 11 Ave & 8th st SW | | Braudog (611), Hampton, Virginia | | May 14, 2007 May 2007 - This was convenient to our downtown location. It was nearly empty on a Sunday night. They had I think 12 beers on tap, all in standard styles. My wife’s "pale ale" was weird, so much so that we asked twice whether it was the right beer. Mine was OK, though, and I took three 22oz bombers for the road. After our other two awesome Calgary stops, this was just OK. |
