The beer is definitely the main attraction at the Brewhouse. Thereís a range of Brisbane Brewing Company beers on tap as well as more familiar big brewer beers and a very well-stocked fridge.
The decor is functional and not particularly welcoming and unfortunately that extends to the staff who donít seem to be particularly interested in either serving customers or promoting their beers.
Itís a shame because the range of beer available is fantastic and relatively good value but the pub is definitely let down by the poor service.

Visited on July 19, 2013.
During the last bit of Queensland Beer Week.
They did have tasting paddles available, but since it was beer week you could get a beer passport that let you try 6 pots for $18.
16 taps available, 8 of their own beers and 8 others, also plenty of bottles, but never counted them.
Ate the beer battered barramundi, fish and chips that is.
Nice service. A bit of a gaming place.
Easy to get to after taking the bus to Mater station.
Plenty of indoors as well as some outdoors seating.
Not that far of a walk from the city either. Well worth visiting for their own beers Iíd say.
Stayed for 8 pots, so spent some time here.

What makes this place is they brew their own beers. Their regulars are tasty but itís their special batches that are the shit. Black India Ale, Up Yer Kilt, Amber Ale and Paddyís London Porter...all awesome and wish I get more often!

Dingy pub heavily focused on pokie machines and punters betting on the daily races. Six beers brewed on premise but donít expect much. Lion Nathan still dominates the taps here though so you can find the finest QLD swill on offer. Was surprised to spot a couple of Green Flash and Bear Republic bottles in the fridge, so itís not all bad. Update March í14 - Stepped up with the beer quality here and the bottle list has grown alot. Still lacks ambiance and dreadful if youíre silly enough to come by for a beer on a Saturday night.

The renovations are creeping forward. Visited here during beer week and they had Bacchusís White Chocolate and Rasberry Pils and SCBs Rye ESB on tap as well as some of the small batch Brewhouse beers (the IPA and Dunkle Weizen were good drinking). Food is good and pretty cheap - the lunch steak and pot at $16 is well worth a lazy afternoon visit.
