Bar at brewery. Did the tour, which was quite good, tour guide had a very dry sense of humour. Went for our complimentary beer in the bar afterwards, which was their Belgian Blonde. Only have own beers, two on tap and the rest in bottles. Wanted to order food but no-one bothered to take our order. Food looked good but prices were rather steep.
Visited in June 2014. Only brewery still in Brugge city proper. We were here just after opening on a Friday morning and booked us for the first tour of the day (did have time for a quick hair of the dog in the bar first though). Bar is very modern, with lots of daylight and clean decor. The outdoors seating in the courtyard is nicely secluded from the chaos that is Brugge. The tour guide wasnít too knowledgeable (she did even ask us things as we seemed to know beer), but she spoke good English and was very nice to us. The tours itself is pretty interesting, with lots of old brewing equipment as well as a nice view over Brugge from the roof. In general, the beers are solid enough, especially the Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel. All in all, a nice visit albeit a bit touristy.
Good tour and really comfortable on site restaurant with full straffe hendrik range in bottles plus a few on tap. Excellent quality of food, very attentive service, well recommended. Real log fire will be fab in the winter and nice view in to new brewhouse. Top tip: best view of Bruges on top of the brewery if you take a tour.
This place can be noisy but is a must visit when in Bruges as it is the only standing brewery in the city! Take the tour, get an insight into the history of the brewery, enjoy the view from the roof, and drink your glass of fresh, unfiltered Brugse Zot at the end! A very nice experience.
