A nice space with a bit of a restaurant feel. Only been in the winter, but there appears to be outdoor seating. Not a huge selection of beers but they are quite nice. Food is good as is the service. Prices are decent. Overall worth a stop.

Sort of a cafe-restaurant feel. No complaints about the service. Selection was only five house brews, but each a style that you don’t see everyday at brewpubs, so kudos there. Quality was all over the board: poor, average, above average, great. Though the Belgian food was not the highest of quality "in style" if you will, it more than gets the job done and is certainly well above the level you’d expect such food to be made at a brewpub. ...And frankly I loved the whole experience of it even if I feel the need to be all hyper critical. Good value too. Great to find such a unique brewpub.

A neat Belgo-French style brewpub/restaurant in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis. I don’t think there is a bar, just lots of dark wooden tables, and some outdoor seating as well. There were 5 taps on when I was there with some interesting styles (saison, black Belgian ale, dunkel, IPA, and sour ale). However, I would rate the beers as average. Nonetheless, it is nice to go to a brewpub that features some different stuff. As far as the food, I would come here for that alone. A very authentic menu - I got the duck confit and it was very tasty. I had no problems with the service or ambiance here, although I visited during a less crowded time. Overall a place that should not be missed while in Indy, especially if you’re hungry too.

Dosnt eat here sO I gave the food an NA. Their house taps were very tasty, service could have been a bit better but we were there when it was quite busy.

This brew pub in the heart of Broad Ripple is a very good beer destination in Indy. Their in house beers are great examples of the Belgian styles. Ambiance is not so nice, but the great beer offerings make up for it. They also have frequent, good craft beer offerings.

Service is pretty awful usually and the food is not nearly as good as some people might have you believe, but their beer is pretty good and they usually have some good guest taps. In Broad Ripple, I’d usually rather go to Barley Island, but if I have to go here, I have gotten to the point where I don’t complain too much.

Nice place in a sea of mediocre beer bars. Brugge beer is pretty decent. I prefer the Pooka and the Quadripple over the others of theirs I have tried. Their bottle selection is usually pretty solid. Had Founders KBS last week when I was in. The standard Belgian fare is solid. This place is a very good bet on most nights.

(Visited 03/2010): Visited Brugge twice in about a 3 week span, and a couple times since. It is located in the Broad Ripple area on Westfield/Winthrop, which may confuse some mapping software. They have a small private lot but there is additional parking down the street. Brugge is split into two levels, and you have to go outside to get upstairs. The lower level is more of a restaurant with a small bar on the right side. They have funky lighting and artwork on the walls, and a mauve and blue-green color scheme. It is pretty open allowing a view of the kitchen, and there is a chalkboard displaying the beers they have. Upstairs has more of a pub feel with a larger and more ornate bar, TVs and more taps. Handmade tap handles are pretty cool. The beer selection downstairs is pretty sparse, with only 4 beers (less on my next visit) plus a guest. Upstairs there are more guest beers. All of Brugge’s beers are of the Belgian style which is a nice touch, although they don’t offer samples of anything. Service has been consistently good on my visits. The bartenders are all pretty knowledgeable about beer and are friendly. As for the food, hands down some of the best french (Belgian?) fries I have ever had. You can easily make a meal out of a small size, and "L’enorme" could feed an entire family. They have at least a dozen different sauces in which to dip the fries. Excellent all around. Overall Brugge is a cool spot that I will definitely keep visiting on trips to Indy.

On our way to Jackie O’s this was a nice in the middle spot to stop on our trek, good job Alex...Pulled into a trendy looking part of Indy, the bar itself was also modern and trendy from the outside, and that carried inside as well. Lots of metal and neon artwork and and lights but it works. Copper covered tables are super unique and they have cool holes in the table for glasses of water or cones of fries...The bar had a selection of 6 brewery taps and about 4-6 guest taps of good stuff, Alpha King and Mikkeller included. Their selection of beer was varied, not all weak regular sessionals, and overall very good quality. Actually, some of the better brew pub beer in quality and taste that I’ve seen. The food as this place is top notch, everyone had a great meal. Belgian style food with mussels and fries dominating. The fries are really good, and they have about 10 awesome dipping sauces to choose from. Super surprised this is an Indy brew-pub, one that fits more in with the Chicago culture. I would highly recommend this spot if you’re driving through or live in town.

A nice little restaurant and bar for sure. My bartender was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. My favorite part was when I asked if they had flights and he said "Sure, we have flights - a glass of every beer!" When I went they only had 3 beers and it was just theirs on tap. I didn’t eat, but the beer prices seemed average and reasonable. Overall, a definite stop in Indy if you have the time.
