Smallish corner bar, completely open to the street on two sides.Ten taps, all well-selected Japanese craft beer. Priced at 600 yen for 10oz. and 900 yen for 15oz. Space for 8-10 people at the bar and maybe 16 at small tables. Also, an upstairs area (it was full and I didnít see it). Staff was friendly and fairly prompt in service. Good, limited food menu -- very tasty dishes but a bit pricey. Quite busy and noisy on a Saturday evening. The noise from the traffic was a bit much. Good palce to go in Kyoto, maybe earlier in the day to avoid the crowd.

More or less as any other craft beer cabin in Kyoto. 7-8 taps, nice food, bad oily atmosphere from cooking next to you. Only plus is the amazing tap handles they have,

Nice little place in downtown Kyoto. Although the selection wasnít very big, they did have some rare Japanese stuff and it was as fresh as you like! The food was pretty good as was the service. I was up top as the bottom floor was full so I feel like I might have missed out on the best ambiance.

Visited on a pub crawl with KansaiBeerLvrs. Small bar with some seating on the main floor, dining tables and restroom on the second floor. Beer menu on the board is only in Japanese but there was a paper menu in English. Good selection of 10 drafts, all Japanese craft beer. Order from the bar counter. Food menu looked good, tried the stout cheesecake which was tasty. Nice place to stop in for a beer or two.

Bungalow is a very nice place. I go a couple of times a month. Selection is completely random due to their supplier. Sometimes the slate will be awesome, and sometimes it will be very boring. Staff is friendly and attentive, but you wonít really have many conversations with them. Sometimes, they apologize to Japanese customers for the behavior of tourists and rowdy foreigners...and sometimes that is justifiable. The place runs on being chill.

Visited at 19th of february 2014. Cool place with a bottom floor being half open kind of like a bistro. Since it was winter when we visited they had some plastic covering and heaters operating. Good solid list of only japanese beers server in good condiditon and at really nice prices. We only had some french fries there butr the foodlist looked pretty interesting too. Staff was very polite and attentive. I am sure this place would be even nicer in the summer with an more open feeling to it. One of the best places to drink beer in Kyoto.

Really liked this place. Sparse decor downstairs. Didnít venture upstairs. Service was good and decent selection. It seems that Kyoto bars donít have as many taps as Tokyo ones, but I quite like this in a way. Will definitely go back.

Very attentive and kind staff, good selection of Japanese micros, great food. The only thing Iíd say is that there isnít anything that really stands out about the bar. Their menu doesnít have any focus and neither does the atmosphere. Something to tie it all together could really make the difference for them.

Cool little spot. Place looks like a half finished bistro with an open kitchen. Food is french contemporary(?), Japanese sized dishes and delicious. The beers I had were good and the selection seems to have some different styles to have something for everyone. Still kinda quiet and mellow place.

Kyoto sorely needed a place like this, but I might wait until the warmer months until I sit on the first floor. The second floor is cozy, with a nice view out over Shijo Dori. Ten taps of ji-biiru from all over Japan, rotated fairly frequently. Food is tasty, if a little pricey. But all in all a great place to unwind on the way home from work.
