Very small beer section right near the registers. Decent Belgians, some locals, not much else.

I drove to Busterís to get my hands on the Ruination 10th Anniversary, and I had planned to get a few other things. The selection is okay, but they lacked any real variety. They had tons of Belgians and tons of IPAs, but outside of that there was almost no variety. I got all the Stone I could want and some Yazoo Sue, which is fine; I love Stone. But, another customer asked me what a good wheat beer was, and in the process, we found they had no wheats anywhere that we could find. Itís summer; youíd think at least a SN Kellerweis would be there (they only had hoptimum, torpedo, and SNPA). My local bottle shop in Little Rock, which I complain about regularly, has a much more impressive stock. Anyway, I will probably stop here whenever I drive through (Iím in Little Rock, family is in Birmingham), but rather disappointing.

Stopped by Busterís with my friend that goes to U of M (I was visiting from Cincinnati). As mentioned before, Memphis is assbackwards in many respects--including their beer laws. The place is nice enough, with a nice marquee-like sign out front, and the service is friendly, but associates lacked beer knowledge. The selection was pretty much a joke! Sure, I was able to choose some good beer for WrestleMania viewage, but it was pretty pathetic. But hey, I donít think Memphis is a big micro / craft beer town. That is the impression I get.

In process in regard to beer knowledge, but still one of the best places to go in Memphis for big beer.

This place is ok, nothing fancy, but they do have a decent selection of high alc beers. Prices seemed pretty good. I found several things here that I donít see in Nashville. I didnít have anyone ask me for help so Iím only assuming they didnít know much about the beer.

In town on a trip and swung by this place to try to find a few good local brews and oddities, but ran in to the idiosincracies of Memphis beer sales law. They only carry stuff over 7% and have a very mediocre offering of beer... you can find some Belgians, a few micros and the like, but Iíd guess there were no more than 30 or 40 beers to choose from. Flip side is that if youíre in the market for wine or liquor, this will be more like heaven.

Stopped in on a day trip to Memphis. Limited but quality selection - Unibroue, Stone, Dogfish, etc. Most everything seemed to be available chilled or room temp. Emphasis is definitely on spirits and wine. Worth a stop-in if youíre in the area.

Small but quality selection of beers, more Belgians than anything else. The staff was attentive and friendly. I picked up a couple of reasonably priced sakes.
