Awesome place with a small but great selection of beers on tap. When I went they had stuff by Cantillon, Nøgne Ø, Buxton, La Trappe and Veholt. Prices are quite high (normal for the country). Service is astute, though not overly friendly. This place is worth hitting for sure for the beer list and the atmosphere. It’s open late, so it makes sense to be the final stop of the night. Highly recommended.

By Norwegian standards Sara has inexpensive food (served until late). Parts of the staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to beer and their selection is rather exciting.
10 taps (most of which are Norwegian micro breweries) and around 100 bottles. Updates their beer menu monthly. The best way to find out what they actually have is speaking to the one person working in the bar itself.
Gets rather crowded specially early nights and weekends, but it is usually possible to get a table if you’re willing to wait a few minutes.
They also run monthly-ish beer tastings with (smaller) Norwegian and foreign breweries at Verkstedet next door.

A really nice pub! Beers from the latest microbreweries in Norway both on tap and in bottles. Knowledgeable staff and people passionate about beer by the bar. Great lamb stew too. (Visited December 5 and 6th 2014)

Great place! Used to go there in the 90s with 1 macro on tap- but the place ( or the beer selection) has really improved! Great selection on tap of small norwegian microbreweries. Very nice bottle selection as well. A must visit in Oslo

En koselig pub i Oslo. Godt utvalg på flaske og et greit utvalg på tapp. Et sted verdt et besøk når man forviler seg en tur til oslo.

The good: Very cozy brown cafe with a great selection of bottle beers. Visited during Nøgne Ø tap takeover. Lively atmosphere. Nice prices for Oslo. Food is cheap. The bad: Can get packed. The food feels too much like cheap products.

Previously a brown bar it’s lately one of the best bars in Oslo with a very good selection of beers as well as the only place in Oslo to have some of the lesser known norwegian micros. The service is excellent and the food is good and decently priced.
