40 At the end of terminal D. With a name like Carolina Beer Company, I thought it was a brewery, but it’s not; it’s a bar. 6 taps: 3 local micro brewery beers, and 3 macros. They also have 12 cans/bottles of macros. All are $9. Meh at best (especially with awesome Wicked Weed brewery just down the hall). |
36 Visited during a layover in Charlotte. This is the bigger location, there is at least one other smaller locations in the airport. This one has a lot of seats available and is at the end of Concourse D. They had a pretty limited selection of beer, when I was there, but it was at least interesting styles. Service was fairly nonexistent. There were three people working, but you could barely tell. At least the quality of the beers were decent. Would skip again if given the opportunity. Prices were of course too high as well. |
90 On a layover in Charlotte airport. The nachos were good and the beer was as well. The only ding is the price, it is an airport bar after al, therefore one and done. |
34 Came here on 7.3.2018. Below average airport beer bar close to D10 gate. They had 2 beers from a NC brewery and a few mainstream stuff. I had an Amber which was ok. |
42 At the time of this review this place is shown incorrectly, this place is in the airport toward the end of Terminal D. Plenty of open seating in front of this place next to a restaurant. Prices were high. Service was average. Selection was five taps (one was out) at 10pm on a Tuesday, a couple locals. If time permits I would check this place out, but wouldn’t go out of my. |
70 This place was a nice surprise. Yes it is airport expensive. I paid $9 for a sixteen ounce can. They do have many local beers both on tap and in bottles and cans. The food is usual airport bar food. The bartender was very attentive and did give samples. This is very convenient if you are stuck in terminal D. For an airport bar, it’s a decent place to find local beer. |
48 Open space right inside the terminal with strange wooden structures around the seating area. Bartender is super friendly. 6 taps and a handful of cans and bottles available. The Hop Drop and Roll wasn’t bad, but half the taps are generic BS. Three taps were local stuff but all kind of disappointing. No flights of half pours, but the dude would pour me free samples of anything I wanted to try. I didn’t really feel like drinking 14-20oz of a random beer I’ve never had. |
58 Visited on Sunday 15/02/15 just after 7.45pm.
Located by the ’D’ gates this was a typical airport set up, open plan bar and dining area with half a dozen bar stools, some tables inside and more outside the bar area. 5 or 6 beers on tap, some from OMB, plus a couple of cans of note.
Mine was a flying visit, 5 minutes to be precise inbetween a delayed flight and a re-booked connection, so I made the bar tender aware and he served me promptly.
I just grabbed a can of the NoDa Hop Drop to save time. Not sure about the cheap prices mentioned below, this set me back a typically expensive airport price of $9.73 + tip. Perhaps there’s a happy hour when beers are $6 a can ?
None the less, not a bad bar as airports go. |
64 Pretty simple setup in terminal D. Some NC locals on tap, decent food, good service. Not much else to say really. |
66 Probably the best option for beers in Charlotte airport. Locals from OMB and Catawba were available on tap. Cans of Hop Drop ’n Roll were only $6, which is pretty unbelievable value for an airport bar. Better yet, the Hop Drop ’n Roll I settled on had been canned less than a week previously. Service was friendly, my bartender was happy to charge my phone for me. I didn’t eat, but the food looked OK. Overall, a good place to spend a layover. |
