| BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | November 6, 2011 Layout is typical Central Market. Nice part of town with a good sized parking lot. Service is typical CM as is the food. Selection seems to be good with a bunch of TX breweries I hadn’t seen when I lived in North TX (about a year ago). Nothing too exceptional. My one complaint is that there is almost a complete lack of singles, even when compared to other Central Markets. (and they didn’t seem to be willing to break a 6 pack). A decent stop, but not quite at the level of goodness that the other North TX stores share for their respective areas. I feel that Specs probably ate into their craft beer business a few years ago. | | SPDickerman (27), Texas | | July 9, 2011 Really nice grocery store with a really nice, well priced beer selection. Great food to be bought too. | Sacrament (4), Houston, Texas does not count - explanation | | October 3, 2009 great beer selection, not as good as specs, but still nice, this place is mostly about the amazing selection of food from all over the world, i bought the best ham ive ever put in a sandwich last time i was there. | | ahmashar (11), Stafford, Texas | | January 19, 2009 As a foodie, I love going here, and they have a great selection, second only to Spec’s Downtown, the holy grail of Houston beer stores. This place is more pricey than Spec’s but they have Spec’s beat on most foodie delights. Very knowledgable beer staff. | daniellerose7 (7), new york, New York does not count - explanation | | December 28, 2007 WOW. Great selection of beer, especially American brews. The most amazing food shopping experience ever. If only for the beer selection, the smell of the coffee aisle and the WALL OF CHEESE. | | Zinister (52), Houston, Texas | | June 14, 2007 Love this place...more for the food than the beer, but the beer selection is excellent outside of Spec’s. This is the best place in town for foodies. | billism (9), Missouri City, Texas does not count - explanation | | March 31, 2007 The best retail beer store in Houston (that I know of) as far as selection. They also have an awesome deli! | | KAggie97 (213), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | | March 23, 2007 [ Updated July 12, 2010 ] Nice selection of imports and micros, especially from Texas. Worth a stop. | | Walt (189), Austin, Texas | | July 19, 2005 Typecal Central Market selection and service... | | BeerRules (14), Houston, Texas | | June 12, 2005 Good selection here of beer and wines. The head guy in the booze department is very knowledgeble about beer as well. Food part is awesome, great cheese and deli selection. Prices are steep on some things, but they have a cool are where you can buy things in bulk, and get only the spices/nuts/dry fruit/etc that you need. Nice place. |
