| BrewDad (360), Olympia, Washington | | February 7, 2012 In the strip mall not hard to find and was not sure what we would find. We found a brew pub with a BBQ habit. They got some pretty tasty beer and the BBQ was to die for. Not the first pick on my list but it will do. Service was a tad off but when she saw me rating oh then the service got better. Oh well they got beer so try it if in the area. | | beernovice39 (146), South Carolina | | August 11, 2011 Packed resturant vibe. Like finding treasure for a local I imagine. Several beers on sample tray, decent food, service and prices. | | markwise (124), North of Tampa, Florida | | March 14, 2011 Visited 2/2011. For the area where Charlie and Jake’s is, this is a great little brew pub. They are at the end of a strip mall plaza with the brewery on display and usually a brewer on hand to answer questions. The beer has some solid offerings, and some seasonal and unique beers, too. They had the oak aged saison and the smokehouse stout on when I visited along with the regular lineup. People were nice, pretty beer knowledgeable, and some of the friendliest people I have talked to. I will be back whenever I am around. For a $4 sampler of beers, and some above average bbq, this is a great spot. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | January 27, 2011 Typical eighties style restaurant in a strip mall, sports bar with cheap tables (a la Sonny’s BBQ). Beer is rather mundame with only one good one out of 6. Food is BBQ, decent and cheap. I had the combo for 9$. 6 X 3 on for 4$. Only if youre in the area..... | | patsfan13 (10), Cocoa, Florida | | August 26, 2009 I like to hit C&J for lunch. Their beer is good and their lunch specials are good. | | unclemattie (112), Georgia | | August 9, 2009 It was kinda hard to find while driving down Wickham Rd. Heading south it is on the right. Found down on the north end of a large shopping plaza . Brewing tanks visible from dining area. Sports bar theme, not my bag. Food was pretty simple, good. BBQ pork sandwich was nice and smoke flavored. Low and slow! Beers were the best you’d find in town outside of Cocoa Beach of course. I recommend the Anniversary Ale. Overall, For Brevard Co. it is a diamond in the rough. (123e rating d’établissement) | | Ibrew2or3 (248), Phoenix, Arizona | | March 16, 2009 [ Updated March 4, 2011 ] Visited 10/08 time frame. It has a warn-in homie look and feel to it with very friendly staff. The people were terrific actually. The food was tasty as was the beer offerings. The beer wasn’t exceptional but was a refreshing departure from the “cookie cutter” and worse offerings I had had earlier south of here. This is a place I will look forward to coming back to and trying some new brew and see how their re-modeling has turned out. | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | February 18, 2009 [ Updated May 23, 2011 ] xtreme Beer place. Everything was high high ABV including a 15% ABV DOuble Trouble barleywine that was very good. When the server warned people it was 30% proof, there was perhaps a hint that the booziness hits like 30% ABV. Middle aged plus hangout, hard drink handlers. Sunlight lights up the place, a very nice paragon bar, tables elsewhere. Worth a stop off the highway for, and then you sleep. | | mgumby10 (47), Jupiter, Florida | | February 9, 2009 Just a simple little restaurant and brewpub. Seats just like a regular restaurant. i was a little disappointed that they only had 4 beers on tap when I was there, although a couple of hem were new at the time. The beer was about as average to below as it gets, although the barley wine was decent. The food was a little better, but nothing special. Good place to visit once, but the service seemd lacking at times as well. |
