My favourite beer tasting pub in Brussels! Amazing selection of beers on tap. Not as overly expensive as the pubs around the Grote Markt.

A much more spacious place than the Saint Gilles location. A wonderful range of beers on tap, including many lambics and some guests from foreign breweries. The bottled range is impressive, but tends to focus on 750ml bottles, so it’s best to stick to the draught beers if you come here alone. The amount of taps will certainly keep you busy, though.

What a great place...46 taps with 6 on cask makes for great fun. It’s an unassuming, hip spot where the bartenders are friendly and pretty knowledgeable. Makes one wonder why others don’t offer as many great Belgian and artisan Euro beers. I really enjoyed this place.

Excellent beer cafe located quite centrally. Apart from the outside bit, a more mdoern feel with loudish music playing. Food is pretty basic but tasty. Beer selection amazing on both tap and bottle, extenskve amd well chosen. Not super cheap but it’s all good stuff.

Visited on a Friday and Sunday evening in March 2012. The place is modern and rather cozy. Quite a lot of people on Friday but it was almost empty on Sunday evening. The service was friendly and the staff was knowledgeable. I drank a couple of beers from Toccalmato, also some lambics. Cantillon Zwanze was not cheap, 80 EUR, but it was tasty and almost impossible to find elsewhere. I think that they did have 15 beers from Cantillon. I will visit this place again in the future.

Moeder Lambic was our watering hole in Brussels. I was thrilled by their selection of Belgian craft and rarities. I was also blown away by the level of service we received. Each bartender and server was incredibly knowledgeable and was excited about the prospect of sharing great beer with equally excited customers. Our tabs were never outrageous here in spite of the poor exchange rate during our visit. The interior is chic and modern with just enough dankness to welcome the surliest of beer drinkers. This is certainly deserving of its spot among the worlds best beer bars.

Impressionant bateria de tiradors i gran selecció de cerveses, mireu sempre les cerveses rotatives que ells anomenen invitades! Taules de formatges per acompanyar la nit cervesera. Molt bon lloc, imprescindible. Sens dubte el millor de Brussel•les.Només un petit retret, per picar posen un vol de malt, que fa molt cerveser, però que queda una mica escàs.

My wife and I visited this place early on a Thursday afternoon, late Oct 2010, while our hotel room was being prepared (we had arrived too early). The place was almost empty, outside were about 100 vacant chairs, inside the long thin room with a small stage at the far end had two small groups of people clustered around their drinks. Up on the left as you enter, all along the top of the wall is a chalk list of the tap beers, once settled a young man came over with a smaller chalk board listing the guest selection, which took the total to 46 I believe. We chatted a bit (it was quiet don’t forget) with the chap and then ordered our beers. Correct glasses and a small dish of barley malt to nibble on came back very swiftly. I asked to see the bottle menu, very impressive and as already mentioned by other reviewers, a bit on the expensive side. We had another tap beer before booking into our hotel. We were told to return on the Saturday, because it was their first anniversary and there would be special things going on, so we did: Not so good, outside the 100 chairs were now full and a street band (brass, Dutch/Belgian fun type) was entertaining them, which was great. Inside we managed to find an empty table and were joined by some young locals, again great. A couple of the staff from Cantillon came over to say hello (we had been there on a semi-official visit earlier) and all was going well. Then a very loud Belgian rap band started up on the stage at the far end of the bar, I don’t like rap I can half understand, I came to dislike Belgian rap even more. We had to leave, and we were not the only ones making for the door! I wonder if I should change my name to ’Old Fart’. So, a great new addition to the draught beer selection in central Brussels. A little too modern and untraditional for me, but I will certainly visit again when in Brussels, to see if it ’beds in’ well, which I’m sure it will. I’ll also check to see what sort of band is going to be on, if any.

Full card of lovely beers. Didnt even have time for the bottles. Terrasse in the sun and friendly and beer wise staff.
