Located in an area that's fine during the day but I wouldn't venture here at night. The space is a quite spacious and beautiful former church with plenty of seating. TIP: if you go on the weekend, go early to avoid a crowd. Most of the beers in my flight were quite good, and the entree-sized salad I had was well above average. I would defintely come here again on a future trip to Pittsburgh.

Huge open space, because it is a converted church. Very unique and very cool vibe. Beer was decent. Food was decent. Server was helpful.

One of the best looking breweries I have been to. It really is an old church, complete with organ and stained glass windows. The place was understaffed but our server was working very hard. They had 7 of their own beers on tap, no guest taps. Sadly, the beer just wasn't very good. That's the only drawback and it's a pretty strong one. The food was good and surprisingly healthy for a brewery. This is a good place to eat dinner, just don't expect good beer.

Visited in the middle of a week for a late lunch. The church was very impressive inside. Beer was good, but the food was even better. I tried the chicken pierogi. Good, fast and friendly service too.

Awesome venue, great restoration work and planning with this place!! Very impressed by the ambiance … Tap list had typical stuff, nothing too crazy, but they did have a tasty BBL Barleywine …. Food was excellent and the service was prompt … prices were average …. The beer is solid, but nothing over the top …. Parking was on the street and not too bad, place was half full …. If your in Pittsburgh this is a must experience, you will not be disappointed

Came here on 18.5.2018. What a great place!! Brewhouse in an old Irish Catholic Church and the brewery being located in front of the altar. Located very centrally in Pittsburgh, they opened 1996. They kept everything as it was - the colorful window glasses, the organ on top of the entrance, the wooden hallway. They had 11 beers on tap (including one cask conditioned), a good mix of lagers and ales. Had the Maibock and the hand pump Thunderhop IPA, both really good. Definitely will come back soon.

Gorgeous site, probably better on the inside than without (certainly don’t have to hear the hum of the high-tension wires that dominates this avoidable area). Service was quite good (probably the best I’ve had in two or three years) and very quick despite the crowd. Seems like a very merch-forward ‘scene’ restaurant, as if the brewing is fundamentally important but still doesn’t get as much energy as it should. Sat at the bar with an obstructed view, felt like an Islanders fan. Boothed seats are better for the view, vaulted and long enough, reminded of something in the vein of a Munich beer hall or Oktoberfest tent. Would love to come back just for the atmosphere and food, my spicy Italian sausage pierogis were just right. Beer a little less so, but still solid. Even if I don’t love the beers (and it’s still too early to tell), I’d still recommend this as a stop in wider Western PA, even as a designated driver. [2017.05.23: 90]

Visited here for dinner in late September ’16 while in the area for business. Amazing interior, really kept the feel of an old church. I love the effect of the altar area bathed in blue with the brewing equipment. I sat at the huge bar that runs almost the entire length of the place. Quick, attentive service. Have about a dozen of their beers on tap, the three I had were pretty solid, all true to style. Food was reasonably priced and pretty decent. I had bratwurst with Pierogies for an appetizer. I was only in Pittsburgh one night, and this is the one place I wanted to make sure I visited - glad I did!.

Must stop just to see this place. Old church converted to brewery. How old? It leaks when it rains. Beautiful though. Good food and lots on tap.

A sight to behold and an experience you need to have if you’re in Pittsburgh. Keeping the original stain glass from the church was a very nice tough. I tried three beers: two about average, one above average. Bonus points for properly cooking my buffalo burger to order.
