A nice range of real ale brewed next door at Chalk Hill Brewery, and a few more common taps and bottles available. Staff was nice, food was very good (I really liked the Stilton & chips).

Only been three times and always on a Saturday lunchtime before a match at Carrow Road (home to Norwich City Football Club). It has therefore been full and friendly, even though my shirt has Black and White Stripes (everyone else appeared to be in Yellow). Good selection of beers, I am not a big fan of their own products, but have had one of each, on my visits, just in case my tastebuds have changed. Plus, I can’t watch Grimsby Town sober, it is hard enough when full of Real Ale, but sober, no thanks. Service has always been fine, even when really busy, can’t say about food, don’t think they do it on match days? All in all, a good friendly place, there are seats outside for summertime drinking, but it has always been too cold when I have visited.

Nice brewpub up the hill from Norwich Train Station. Good selection from Chalk Hill Brewery, worth a look when you’re in town. The foods not bad either.

Wednesday 6 pm the place was absolutely packed. 6 casks. That’s all I could see while sipping my Dreadnought.

Nice, lively pub to come to before a Norwich game or to watch if they’re being televised with a great atmosphere. Quite roomy and the Chalk Hill offerings are fair session pints, perfect for supping before the game.
