Incredibly beer selection. Many hard to find beers on tap and a very expansive bottle selection. Ambiance is really nice. Lots of interesting stuff on the walls as well as plenty of TV’s to watch sports. Definitely going to stop back to try the food, which smelled really good.

This place rocks. Even though I live in the city I try to hit this place up as often as possible. Great beer selection good food and great atmosphere. Props go out to swoopjones! Great job!

I freaking love this place. Cool vibe that feels right the minute you walk in. It’s a BAR - no pretend-bar shit - and it’s also very homey. Unbeatable location right above downtown Buffalo, and just south or the Al-Knox Art Gallery. LOTS of good taps. I was allowed to try absurdly amazing flights of beer for $5.00. - four 4-oz samples. Twice! They even comped my pint that followed because they slightly messed up my food order. The food? Real bar food, but very tasty and original. Nice people, friendly locals, Good time!

stopped by today and loved this place. very well layed out with lots of seating and a great patio. super impressive tap line-up with and equally impressive bottle line-up. great service and awesome prices. id love to frequent this place and ill be back any time im in buffalo. stop by if your coming within 100 miles you wont be dissapointed.

Cole’s in Buffalo is essential. It is celebrating a 75th anniversary as of this entry. The building is old with faded US college pennants stuck to the rafters and small cramped wooden booths just beside the length of the bar. It has an incredible beer selection. The draught beers include some real gems and rarities from the area, all rotating frequently. You know it’s a good sign when the first beer on the draught list is prefaced with: "rare beer of the week." Today it was "Dogfish Head Red and White." There are plenty of US and European imported draughts. The bottled list is very extensive also. The food is not fancy, but of reasonable quality. Classic.

Great place for beer as well for food. It its a bit loud and crowded but that’s price of success. Serving staff was great and very helpful on many occasions. Highly recommended spot to be.

Favorite bar ever...bartenders and servers are always friendly and helpful, selection of beer goes on and on and on...where else in Buffalo do you have to decide between Orval or Rochefort? Classic bar that has been there forever and will always be

First of all, Buffalo seems like a really underrated city. The people seem friendly and smart and the vibe is neat. OK, to Cole’s. Great place. Great staff. No, make that excellent. Great owner. Surprisingly good selection of draught and bottles. Killer ambiance. A session waiting to happen. Thanks to I.P. Freely for taking us and to swoopjones for being the most gracious host :-)

Big place with a quality list of taps and bottles. Good vibe when not busy, strong management and a tasty beef on weck. I wasn’t here long, but I liked it.

Visited for supper last fall. The place smelled a little damp, and the decor was oddly inconsistent - (wicker chairs, plastic flowers, exposed brick and rafters, fireplace, etc). Lots of space inside, but not much parking outside. Great, friendly, very attractive service. The food was good, and the beer selection (bottles and taps) was very good. I’ll be back.
