70 Visited for the first time on the 21st December 2018. Weird that I never found myself coming here, so thanks to my good friend Madoc for the tip. Anyway, this looks like a small version of 't Poatersgat just across the street, with low ceiling, stone arches, wooden tables. Not too big, so it can become stacked with people standing cluttered around your table. The owners are real 'Bruggelingen' with a laid-back attitude. Selection is not adventurous but has, for example, a couple of beers by Brugs Bierinstituut, Troubadour & 't Verzet. Also some classics and one rotating tap. Just a tad overpriced, which is unfortunate because I guess it's mostly locals who come here. We're still in the centre of Bruges, of course... This makes for a very nice stop during a night out. |

86 The old ’De Zolder’ shell, completely changed by Bram and his wife (ex employee of Daisy).
Cool classical music and paintings by the De Dolle brewer adorned the walls, a regular feature will be changing art displays by various painters throughout the year.
I was here during the first two months of it opening, still finding its feet, but busy none-the-less. Another fine beer bar in Brugge, get here before the new set of guide books come out and it becomes well known.
A good mix of draught and bottled beers chosen by Bram, he knows his beers and has some interesting selections. I really hope this place takes off, it certainly should. We know each other from his days at ’t Brugs Beertje and we had a good chat about his expectations and hopes, good luck to him!
Update bit: it’s doing fine!

82 Smaller cellar bar with nice music and blues bar atmosphere. The beer selection has a lot of (well chosen) Belgian standards but also some fun local beers that make for nice ticks. The service was very friendly and the prices are great. |
86 Beautiful beer bar/jazz club/art gallery with great atmosphere and a solid selection of beers! Quick, polite service, good prices. One of the best beer places in Bruges! |
84 Lovely brick-heavy underground bar right opposite (and equally as awkward descending to) the Poatersgat underground bar. This one is also a single room affair but it’s less than a third of its size, however it’s much more intimate and arguably slightly more convivial for it. The beer list here is just as good as its rival opposite and on any beer tour of the city, both should probably visited at the same convenient time, although I ended up trying more beers in this cellar bar. The staff are very knowledgeable about their beers. |
80 Great atmosphere in this bar located in an old cellar. Visited on a friday night, place was crowded but not a point of being bothersome. Staff seemed friendly, but there wasn’t really an opportunity to get a better picture of that. Beer selection is quite adequate, not the most extensive in town but it will definitely get you through the evening with a grin on your face. |
84 We visited here on Saturday 18th October; by we I mean me, Loz, Nick, Anna and kids. This place is a short 5-7 min walk from ths main Sq and Belfort and for those familiar with other Brugge pubs/cafes it is pretty much opposite another cellar the Poatersgat (probably spelt wrong). Quite dark but also atmospheric and with long tables scattered about. The service was excellent and with a smile and the lady came back with our beers and never even had to ask whose beer was whose she remembered them all and also the kids soft drinks. The beer choice was very good and whilst there may not have been to many rarities it still offered some very decent beers and at great prices, Orval was €3.60 as I recall. They had no issues with kids even at the relatively late hour we arrived. All in all, really good bar. |

88 Staff were very friendly and advised perfectly: the barman knew the beer I liked and gave me an excellent similar recommendation. |
