December 10, 2011 Stopped by while hitting breweries in the area. Nice on the outside with a pretty decent location for HWY use. Very dated feel on the inside. Ordered a sampler, and was not impressed by anything. Did not get a warm feeling from Copper Canyon, and I for sure will not be back in the future. |

November 14, 2011 Good beer, but not a large selection. I’ve never seen this place busy at night. I used to come here with my family on Saturday evenings when in the area because I knew I could get in without waiting 45 minutes for a table, yet still drink some decent beer that I can’t get anyplace else. However, I’ve found the service to be so consistently poor that I quit going. The food is passable, but a bit pricey for the quality. The pizza is enjoyable, though. I’ve generally enjoyed the beer, but there are better places in the area. |

July 10, 2010 Great beer, excellent food and great service. The bartender-waiter talked to us about the beer and menu options. After we badmouthed pilsners a bit, he showed us a pilsner can taste good when he gave us a sample of his pils brew. A bit pricey for a microbrewery, which is the one thing holding me back from being a regular. Besides the steep price tag, it is a great place. Atmosphere is a bit dressy and less casual. |

March 6, 2010 I spent a week in Southfield on business and lodged in the hotel adjacent to this place. How convenient! This place feels as though it is a franchise, although as far as I know, it isn’t. The food and drink offerings were good enough to bring me back several evenings for dinner, although I’m not sure if that would have been the case had I not been next-door. |

February 13, 2010 Very good beer club and usually a nice selection of specialty brews / seasonals. Service can be sketchy, especially for food vs. just in the bar. |

November 13, 2009 Large place that sort of reminded me of a generic Rock Bottom. Had the sampler and a pint of Ginger Kids which was by far their best brew. Had the Cajon Burger which was pretty good. Overall this was a decent place to watch the football game I went to see. The one thing the sort of disturbed me was that they allow smoking at the bar. I often smoke when I drink but I don’t see how any brewery that is serious about their beer can allow smoking. just a personal thing I guess. Decent place overall but their are far better options in the Detroit area. |
