| watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | January 16, 2012 Nice beer bar...no liquor. Dark and warm atmosphere...seemed quiet. Decent tap selection though I suspect it is at times great. Outsttanding bottle selection with very good pricing. Food is affordable and pretty darn good. I like this place! Wish it was closer. Service was friendly and fast. | | 41cubs (23), , New Jersey | | November 16, 2011 I had driven two hours to get to this place and now I’m well aware that I’d gladly drive a bit further for this experience. On arrival I was greeted by Sara the bartender/front of the house specialist. She was warm, engaging, knowledgeable and hospitable. I was there for lunch on a Tuesday, so no crowds to speak of, just an easy going beer friendly few. I had the parsnip and hazelnut puree soup which was fantastic! Also had the radicchio salad that was just good. I selected a Port Brewing Mongo as my lunch companion and it was presented in a beautiful flared tulip. Huge bonus: you can carry out 99.9 percent of everything on the vast and comprehensive beer menu. The owner even came out to look for a couple beers that I did not see in the case. Great value here on the food and especially the beer. These people aren’t looking to become millionaires, just looking to spread the goodness around. Awesome place. | Neeskens (2), , Sweden does not count - explanation | | October 7, 2011 Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, and definately a good selection. | | fata2683 (125), Tucson, Arizona | | June 18, 2011 Holy cow does this place rule. Not a huge draft selection but what they do have is very nice with tons of variety. Everything is served in proper glassware and there is food available although I did not eat there. The bottle selection is staggering for the area. Lots of options and you can buy them to go. In a state where most beer sales are by the case this is a great option! | | jacobm52 (10), Pennsylvania | | April 7, 2011 Great selection, good food. Food prices are a little high. | | Jjbigtime (14), California | | March 10, 2011 Another new beer bar that is doing it right. Was bummed when I got there on Sunday and it was closed but had a nice lunch and beer experience on Monday.
The owners seem to be doing everything right despite facing a new and popular bar.
Congrts, this is a greet place | Snoop (1), does not count - explanation | | December 28, 2010 The beer selection is excellent but the food selection is slim. Normally the food selection would be okay except that they make it the way they want to make it and are opposed to things as basic as asking for a rare steak (they make it "medium rare"...that is all). Wait staff is very pleasant though it seems like they are intimidated by the kitchen, which quite frankly sucks. My recommendation, drive the extra distance to go to downtown Phoenixville. If you really love the beer selection then drive the extra distance to go to Union Jack’s near Oley. | | alobar (43), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | September 20, 2010 This a great beer place. Food is exceptional and the prices are reasonable. Tap list is to notch and bottle list impressive. Prices on bottles are a bit high, but this is a nice place and worth visiting often. | | biggcb (29), Harleysville, Pennsylvania | | November 9, 2009 Stopped by for an early dinner on a Saturday night (got in right before it started to really get crowded). Is a small place. Menu was good, but rather limited. Not exactly family friendly, but they did have chicken tenders kid meal. Quality of food was very good - I had the burger and my wife has the scallops. Service was very good. Beer selection was great. Had about a dozen or so nice ones on taps and well over 100 bottles (to be enjoyed there or to take home). Will definitely hit this place again. | | michael-pollack (100), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | October 12, 2009 [ Updated August 20, 2011 ] Nice looking, wood-filled bar. Good service. Nice selection of draughts and bottles. Reasonable prices, except for charges for bread and romulade. Burgers were great! Muscles are very good too. |
