Nice old gothic venue at the end of Oldham St. Popped in on a Sunday evening in July. Beer range has expanded with lots of keg taps plus cask. Scooped in a new Track CDA which was top notch. Itís always been a decent venue but has stepped up since I was last here. A definite stop off in the future after this visit

Very impressed with this pub. Great beer and staff. Although I dread to think what the bill for repairing the ceiling would be!

Conveniently close by to where I was staying. Hereís a good selection of beer and in a rather splendid building with high arches and ornate celling (protected with mesh as it looks as though it has seen better days). Very busy on a Saturday evening but the staff handled the crowds fine and with happy service. Popped in a couple of times during my stay.

Visited several times, and for sure worth a visit if you are in the Manchester area. They do from time to time do their own small pub festivals, which several of the pubs do around the winter ale festival. Large corner pub, can at time be a bit crowded. Large bar in the middle of the room.. Beers served most times in a good condition. I donīt think thedo food, but they do a few barsnacks. Friendly and serviceminded staff.

Strangely done up, fairly generic modern looking at floor level, but with a vaulted ceiling which they obviously ran out of money before it could get renovated. Reasonably interesting selection of cask.

Street corner pub in the northern quarter of the city. With its magnificent ceiling it gives a beer hall impression added by a few smaller snugs. Itís a free house with an array of six cask ales, mainly from regional microbreweries. Casks from Rat, Pennine, Peerless and Blackedge, among others, were on during our visit. Soul and Tamla Motown music. Friendly, stylish and cool place (visited on our way back from the NWAF, 23.01.2013).

A mix of old and new in this bar cum pub. Look up for the historic architecture that still adorns the upper part of this establishment, which makes it a pleasant place to have a drink below. The bar always has a great selection of rotating ales and two smaller cosier rooms to drink them in if the main area is not to your liking. It also has big screen televisions for all the football matches it shows. Keg ale is also here on rotation too.

Approx 6 casks. Beer quality was hit and miss. Friendly staff. Would try again.

Nice architecture on the ceiling and arches which looked like it was crumbling. Cask beer selection was not bad, but the place felt empty and soulless
