Holy crap, this place is insane. Not huge but stuffed with so many great beers and well organized. Helpful service and friendly. So many beers from all over the world, prices were prices according to rarity which meant some stuff was ridiculously priced but also some really good deals too. I could have easily bought a ton of beer if I’d have had more than a backpack to haul it in.

Visited in may 2011. Absolutely magnificent place with beers all around the world and in great prices. The best beer shop I’ve visited (although there are not many of them). Also proper glassware at least for Belgian beers.

If I come to beer shop and it’s dificult to make a choise then to it indicates that it IS a good shop. So was this, very wide selection of really good ones, I got even one German aventinus what was unable to get in Berlin. Personell knows the stuff so can help you a lot and shorten the time to spend here, sour ales are in the zero floor. Only problem is that there is not much space, but now I know that land in NL is expensive.

Nice people with a really nice bottle shop. They like to trade. Absolutely the best bottle shop in the city and surrounding area. Good selection of local, Belgian, and American beer.

I visited last weekend. Definitely some of the most diverse range of beers in Europe under one roof. It’s not as spacious as other retailers so the quantity is restricted but the choice and understanding is superb. For selection it’s fantastic. They clearly take time out to procure and select a very fine range of the best craft breweries. I also like the lambic selection room downstairs. This is very cool. I think if it could expand this would definitely be the best beer shop going. Prices can be expensive but that’s more due to a bad Euro rate and this stuff being aged properly. I pay for that. You want Lovabeer; Tocalmatto; Kernel, 3 Fonteinen, De Cam, Oud Hanssens, Alvinne, De Struise, De Molen, all in one roof? Yep. It’s here. Oh and Russian River too..psssssssssssstttt. Keep up the awesome work.

(Visited Feb 2013) This is one impressive beer store, centrally located just a block away from the Dam Square and quite close to the Bier Temple. There’s a fairly narrow entrance by the counter, and then a set of stairs up to the main area, with beers packed along the walls. Several hundred quality beers from all around the world, with one of the walls dedicated for the Netherlands. There’s also a small area downstairs with focus on sour ales and lambics. The selection of international beers is quite impressive and well chosen. My focus was however on the Dutch wall, with lots of different beers from small brewers. The selection of beers from De Molen and Emelisse is quite impressive. Some of the rare stuff can get quite pricey. Service is friendly and very knowledgeable. A must visit when in Amsterdam.
