A bit bohemic student café where half of the guests sit with a book glued into their face. Friendly staff, serve small gallpins, didn’t try the food. Very relaxing athmosphere, play slow beat quiet Frensh music. Perfect spot to stop by for a beer or to if you’re not in a rush. Value is not in the beers but as a nice relaxing place.

A difficult one to rate. In a proper beer city this wouldn’t get a look-in but, in deepest France (albeit a beery part of France), it’s one of the stars. Basic, down-to-earth, no airs and graces, full of alternatives with the smell of weed blowing in from the smokers outside, but it has beer from Soyeuse and Grihète on tap plus some bottles. I liked it a lot, but some may not! Metro / Tram1 to Guillotière.
