Yum, Dinosaur! They have some fantastic food and a great beer selection. The place gets JAM PACKED because of its reputation (that, combined with the fact that it is one of the popular RPI hangout spots) and that has a noticed effect on the service. Expect a 30-60 minute wait during dinnertime on a Friday or Saturday night, but it is well worth if if you like BBQ.

Just a stone’s throw from Brown’s Brewing, this place is usually hopping, even on a Sunday, in which I had about a 20 minute wait. Luckily, there is a pretty long bar, a nice vibe (if a little loud) and a nice tap list to help the minutes with the vibrating pager fly by. I had the sausage link sandwich (apparently Troy is the only Dinosaur location where they are doing that option right now), and it was really really good. They give you a good amount of food, smoky and delicious, and not too pricey. You could either have a few here and then eat at Brown’s, or vice-versa, but it’s almost criminal not to visit both if you are in the area and have the time.
