Went while visiting family the calamari was amazing and for having only DFH beers on tap, I was still able to find 8 or 9 beers I LOVED. If your an IPA fan this is the best place in the area for the money, plus they have a package license so they can do beers and Growlers to go at fairly reasonable prices.

Came here December 1st for my birthday, only DC location to have 120 min. IPA on draft. Parking was easy, pretty busy place as the wait was 45 mins. Waiter was friendly, my 8oz of 120min was enough that night for beer (~18 taps there). Food was good. I asked if they had any to-go bottles of Old School Barleywine but they were out but they pointed out a nearby Wine & More that probably had it. Overall a good experience.

Stopped in for lunch and a flight. 18 DFH taps, solid food and great service. Fun spot.

If this was not s Dogfiah Head affiliation, would be just the average strip mall beer-and-burger chain joint. The beer is so good, however, that it is like a magnet for casual dinner.

In a former Uno’s pizza restaurant. Large with an engineered chain restaurant ambiance. 17 dogfish head beers on draft. No size choice on the servings. Food is above average for pub grub. Worth a visit if you are in the hood.

With this visit, I’ve hit every DFH location except the brewery itself. The Rehoboth Beach location is obviously by far the best. This one is in a generic suburban stripmsll, but is very close to major transportation routes. No special beers here, just the usual mainstream DFH and a seasonal. Food is OK. Prices are high. They will do growlers soon, but no date has been set. They do 7 ounce poirs of all their beers, but it doesn’t save you much cash. A 7 oz pour of Black and Blue was $8.25, fir a 10% beer. Go to the Beach if you can.

Always a wide variety of DFH beers on tap and in the bottle, with seasonals on constant rotation. The service and food are above average for a brewpub, making the Alehouse a comfortable place for families. Nice range of entrees, from unique, huge sandwiches to more traditional American pub food like steaks and roast chicken. A standby at our house.

Two visits about a week apart and the bartender remembered my name - that’s good stuff. Not only that, but Naomi seemed to know just about everyone who sat at the bar. Selection is limited to DFH beers, but that’s not a bad thing. And the fact that the bartenders have beer mixes to suggest based on your preferences is a great added dimension. Ambiance is pretty standard brewpub with perhaps some commercial overtones that are a bit off-putting for me, but the service goes a long way towards making things more comfortable. Food is pretty standard pub choices with some mid-Atlantic specialties thrown in, but cooked to a high standard. I would go again in a minute if I lived in the area and will visit DFH the next time I’m on the east coast.

Not my first time here, but the first time that counts as my first time there was about a 45 minute wait... for the bar. Yeesh. This time, the place was very crowded but at least a seat was available. Kinda boring restaurant theme, but the beer is good, there are some special beers and the bartenders were very cool, going out of there way to share some cool blends. For the record... 90 minute + Festina Peche is awesome.

Update: Overall dinged down a bit and value bumped all the way down. I was there today (5/2/12) and got a 7 ounce pour of URKoninent for $8.25. That’s almost $19 a pint!!! I might have even done that, too, but the bar staff didn’t feel the need to warn me and prices aren’t listed on the chalk board. A little miffed.

A good place to grab some Dogfish and food, but it’s no Brewings and Eats. Selection was what I expected, usual Dogfish lineup. Bartender was more concerned with chatting with the ladies than serving beer, which was my main complaint. Food was good, but for the real Dogfish experience you have to go to Rehoboth Beach.
