Wow. I’m sorry but this was bad. The beers were like bad homebrew. Not good quality. The staff were friendly. The new place seems quite nice (still being done up), but with with the quality of beer available this is a sure fire miss.

Great people to talk to, obviously passionate about thier beers. A braggot should be released soon. I was impressed with the IPA, RIS and Porter - good stuff.

This is as simple as a ’cellar door’ gets but very effective. Located just off the main Eagle Heights tourist ’drag’, owner / brewer Ed Gordon runs a simple bar / fridge / tab set-off in the same shed that holds the brew kit. Ed is very decent guy and is happy chat, and an ex-banker analyst type to boot (so, like me a very sound bloke :)). 60ml samples across the range will cost you $5 and the 650ml bottles tarde at b/w $7 - $10. All beers are well made and appropriately ’varietal’, although they may not blow your socks off with excitement. A RIS out of out the tank looks very good.

A small brewery located not far from MT Brewery. I enjoyed the beers, in which I sampled about 5 different brews, and the guys are happy to have a chat about the beers. Update: checked them out again recently and they’re doing good things up here. Some interesting beers on offer and they always seem to be experimenting with new beers.
