Fan’s of Belgian ? That’s the place !!! Even in Belgium you will not see as much Belgian draft then this place ! 42 draft of the fine beer. Food is pub ok. Beer are a bit pricey but one’s a year, why not !!!

We usually hit Ebenezer’s after hiking and I am blown away again and again. Not only is the food generally very good, but the selection of beers is mind-blowing. My very first time there, we had a great lunch with perfect service and pairing recommendations and capped it off by splitting a bottle of Cantillon Iris and embarking on a lengthy tour of the cellar with Chris. Incredible experience. Every time I have been back it has been perfect - terrific tap selection, very chatty and knowledgeable staff, delicious food. World Class, indeed!

Second trip...a year after the first. Service was excellent this time and Chris treated me to a quick tour of the beer cellar. Beer selection was improved and fully stocked this time! Awesome visit and I was pleased that things were much improved! I visited Ebenezers on a recent to trip to Maine and was super excited to go as I’m from PA and knew that this might be a once in a lifetime chance to visit. Excellent scenic and quaint out of the way location. The bar is situated on a beautiful scenic spot on a golf course in the woods of Maine in a small town of less than 1000. The atmosphere is relaxed...picnic tables on the screened porch and wood tables in a small and tight bar/restaurant that is dimly lit. Minimal tvs and no music...its about the beer. The beer selection is astounding...some tough to find stuff. But the prices reflect it...beer of this quality (we’re talking cantillon, struise, glazen toren, and many others) does not come cheap. The food was mostly good except my fish and chips entree which was soggy and undercooked inside. This may be explained by the high volume of the place and after talking with the owner who personally contacted me regarding this matter it seems to be the exception and not the rule. Service was a bit slow but it was likely tough to accommodate a crowd that was so amped over a Pats game. Id like mkre beer knowledge in my server but I’ve been spoiled by places in the philly area where there is a huge population to draw talent from...not so many beer phanatics in a town of 900. Hope I get there again one day to experience it again.

Went 2 hours out of the way to check out this highly hyped beer nerd destination and sadly it was a waste of time. I cannot recommend anyone making the trip without a confirmation from the owner that he will be there, if he responds to you. A similar theme of Lion’s Pride emerged as it was understaffed for a Friday, only one server for the whole place. The draft list was solid, but pedestrian compared to Lion’s Pride. A rare treat was Pannepot Wild, and an awesome Swedish pale ale. Outside of that, commonly available drafts. Bottles in front of the bar were common stuff available anywhere. The menu lists those beers and a few others that are supposedly available, like Cantillon. Alas, anything not in those fridges was accessible. The lambic cellar and the other cellar were off limits to view, and off limits to staff to get beers out of it. The food was basically that of Lion’s Pride, and frankly wasn’t as good. The server was nice and tried to be helpful knowing we came specifically to check out their cellar. However, she seemed more concerned about me writing a bad review, as she mentioned several times to me that she was worried I would write a bad review because I was unable to see what I came to see. I did message the owner about my coming in hopes of picking a time he would be there to ensure what happened to me, wouldn’t have happened. I got no reply weeks in advance. I take responsibility for still going and being disappointed. However, if you’re going to make your name as beer place with a sick cellar have access to it available at all times, not some random time. I feel cheated, my time was wasted, and sadly its so far out of the way, I’ll never be back.

Would you think that the "best" beer place in the world would. 1) Know how to spell Cantillon on their website menu? 2) Have enough respect for beer to not serve Budweiser? Whats wrong with this picture? .

There are plenty of great reasons Ebenezer’s is the number 1 beer bar in the world. First is the owners Chris and Jen run the place like a Swiss watch. I was there from a Wednesday to a Sunday during the 8th Annual Belgium Beerfest. Chris is a great guy, full of life, with a passion for great craft beer. Jen is as nice as they come and runs the service staff to perfection. Kudos to Maryanne and the entire staff. The location is part of the allure. A huge seating area and an outdoors that is located right on a golf course makes for the perfect place to have a few beers. Another great reason for Ebenezer’s success is the food. Chris is a world class chef and every dish, meal after meal was solid and top notch. I was made to feel at home and it was obvious I was appreciated and welcomed. Those attributes are important to me and Ebenezer’s does it right. I will be back as it is only short 20 hour drive from Atlanta. Rock on Eb’s!

A really cool place in the middle of nowhere in Maine. A lot of Belgian beers, plus some random foreign beers. The service was pretty fast even though we were there late. The food was good, especially the fries. The prices were a little expensive, but for this selection and atmosphere it was worth it. Did not get to tour the cellar, but I’ll try to go back to see it.

happened to stroll in for 8th annual belgium beer fest. rediculously good tap list. all kinds of neat crazy stuff i had never had. 1983 dirtied horse for instance. nice outdoor seating. on a golf course. cozy bar inside. can’t wait to return.

Out of the way drive from Portland, I wouldn’t want to do this in bad weather. Amazing tap list, good bottle list. The cellar, I hear its legendary but did not want to chance owner not being there if I returned late afternoon. Serviers very young and knew something about the beer, The place has a small feeling however there are many available tables and a large tentlike area outside. Very rare taps on, and I did what I could to have several higher alcohol ones. Hard to find on GPS. Small bar.
