Probably the best choice among the lincoln brewpubs, empyrean-the-brewery also has a brewpub called Lazlo’s. Located in the Haymarket area just west of Downtown, Lazlo’s has been around long enough to establish itself among the locals. The spinach dip is terrific, and they rotate interesting seasonals through the tap.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The building was located in the same building as the Empyrean Brewing Company, who own both places and whose beers they serve, and seemed to be pretty close to the football stadium. The building was pretty cool-looking with nice beer/brewery-themed murals on the wall. Our server was very prompt and seemed to know his stuff. The food was okay, although I wasn’t hungry to start with and only order potato skins. As for the beers, they were good. Nothing was great, but nothing was horrible either. Above-average, but nothing too great. Definitely worth a visit if in Lincoln.

Above average US brewpub ... I love their beers and the food was pretty good. Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. The actual brewery is around the corner from Lazlo’s, the restaurant, so this is really intended for that place ... haven’t snuck into the brewery yet.
