Really nice atmosphere at this place. Had dinner/drinks at the bar. Barstools were a tad uncomfortable. Selection of beer on tap was pretty interesting, lots of locals which was great. Have to admit I was really looking forward to the food menu at this place my dinner choice was a little bland and dry (poblano/mushroom veggie burger) so I was slightly dissapointed in the food. Serivce was pretty good, although baretender was very busy.

My wife and I loved the vibe of this place. The theme is Support Local in both the food and the beer (the tap list tells you how far away in miles each brewery is), and all the ingredients for the menu are sourced locally. We had already eaten so did not order food, but the meals we saw going out looked amazing. This is at the top of our list to return to-- very cozy, intimate, Bohemian vibe as well. Loved it.

I’ve been here a few times for just food and for drink. Beer selection is solid with lots of options on tap. Nice bottle selection too. Food is really tasty but is a little pricey. Just an FYI, all the beers are for the most part local to IL, IN, WI and MI.

Went there for a late-night dinner with two non-beer drinkers, and all of us really enjoyed ourselves. It was very loud inside, but we sat outside and were able to converse easily despite being next to the street. Great food, great beer, and a knowledgeable waitress. Prices were eminently reasonable for the quality of the products -- I’d definitely go back next time I’m in town.

a new gastropub on the western edge of the gold coast, it has a comfortable interior with a about a dozen taps, most of them new or interesting to me, including a few new small producers. my only complaint was the over-enthusiastic bartender (young Indian-looking kid) who very clearly had just learned all sorts of things about beer and rather than calibrate his questions, suggestions and responses to the customers, would brain-dump everything he learned, accurate or not, onto the customers as if they were as new to beer as he was. I hate to think how a brewer would feel to walk in this place and be talked down to by this kid and his 3rd-grade book report on craft beer. food/ambiance/selection would get it an 80 from me, as I think it’s one of the best combinations of food and drink in the city, but this kid affected my experience so much I have to bump the score down.

Can’t believe this wasn’t in the database. Located in River North area. Nicely decorated two-story restaurant with lots of wood that focuses on local ingredients and the tap light loaded with local regional brews. Unfortunately we did not make it there before the kitchen closed, but stayed late enough to close out the place. Tap selection was awesome. Must be friends with guys at Local Option and Against the Grain as they had multiple tap handles for each brewery. Ideal place for someone visiting Chicago and staying downtown. Can’t wait to go back to grab some dinner. Service was great too.
