| WASW (10), , | | January 21, 2012 Whilst this offers some pretty good ales, including local Kelham Island ones, I’ve never been too keen on this place. Always a bit too busy for my liking and never has quite the right feel to it. | tomclay (3), , does not count - explanation | | October 28, 2011 Great little pub, with a good atmosphere. There are pubs in Sheffield with a greater variety, but there is still plenty there.
Great beer garden around the back. | | NarkeBoy22 (25), , England | | May 27, 2011 Great Beers, Great Garden, good staff, and all round great pub. | | dynamiteninja (45), York, England | | May 18, 2011 Very homely and welcoming atmosphere. Good buzz in front room or tranquillity of a nice beer garden. | | Egg4Goff (11), Sheffield, England | | February 6, 2011 Cracking pub. It is a proper real ale pub with a wide selection on offer. There’s always a lot from the Kelham Island Brewery that used to be based at the pub but is now next door; this is no bad thing considering the excellent brews available just from this brewery. The guests are usually well selected and well worth a punt. Good, proper, filling grub is served and eating out in the lovely beer garden on summer afternoon is real treat (often with a genuine fat cat basking in the sun). Definitely a proper pub well worth the visit. | | belo80 (11), Mortara, Italy | | December 9, 2010 Very nice pub with great beers of the Kelham Island Brewery. Very warm, seems to be hosted at home rather than in a pub. very relaxing and friendly, really deserves all the good that was given consideration.
Bellissimo pub con birre fantastiche del birrificio kelham island. Ambiente molto accogliente, sembra di essere accolti in casa anzichè in un pub. molto rilassante e amichevole, merita veramente tutta la buona considerazione che gli è stata attribuita. | | Rune (211), Tromsø, Norway | | October 17, 2010 What a nice place to be at grey and rainy Friday afternoon in Sheffield! Located next to the Kelham Island Brewey the Cat offers an extremely cosy atmosphere in different small rooms. A few cask ales from the neighbour brewery and many guest ales, enough to keep us busy for a couple of hours. Has got a local feeling with many pensioners having a happy time here during the afternoon. Well kept ales served with a great friendly and passionate attitude. Enjoyable second stop of our Sheffield Valley of Beer trail, 01.10.2010. | | bman1986 (16), Broadstairs, England | | June 2, 2010 One of my favourite pubs in the country. Has a range of 12 cask ales which are cheaper than just about anywhere in the city. Very old fashioned interior, split into multiples sections. The food is probably the bet I’ve had in a pub as well, even has multiple options for vegetarians like myself. If you come to Sheffield make sure you check this pub out. | | swoopjones (175), Buffalo, New York | | October 12, 2009 Nice place. Lots of taps. Decent botlle selction including Belgians. Kelham Brewery right next door. Comfortable place with real nice outdoor beer garden. Look this one up if youre in the area | | Nightfall (36), Hamburg, Germany | | August 21, 2009 [RBESG 2009] Quick visit for some ticks with Charlotte, Jan and Craig. good selection, some bottles too. Nice ambiance and place. |
