80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 csaso (126) Missouri | May 4, 2013 Great place! Went or lunch and they had a decent menu with very good food. Of course they only have their own beers but that's fine since they are all great, can't go wrong with any of them. They even had some beers that you can only get there - like the Unfiltered DBA which I had and was excellent. Took the brewery tour afterwards too (need to reserve in advance). Cute little tasting room right across the street from the restaurant too. Well worth the stop! | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 t0rin0 (184) La Verne, California | March 17, 2013 Visited March 17, 2013.
Very large area with lots of house beers to pick from including half a dozen tap room only beers like the brown ale and the pils. They also have some vintage bottles for pretty high prices ($55 for last year’s anniversary).
Service is friendly and attentive. Got a quick flight of four and despite a$6 tab also some friendly conversation. would return if passing by to see what’s new but most of the non sour offerings get distributed nation wide.
Didn’t try the food but I hear it’s good, might have eat here next time. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 maekchu (31) Hirakata, Japan | February 23, 2013 Large taproom in front of the brewery. Off Highway 101 (Ramada Drive), just south of Paso Robles proper. Very large dining/bar area: booths, large tables, and a U-shaped bar with a funny revolving line (like a bottling line) of blinking bottles overhead. Industrial look on the ceiling, slick cement floor, and aluminium "Diamond Plate" (that bright sliver material used for fancy pickup truck storage boxes) halfway up the wooden walls. 15 beers on tap. Also, several local wines. Food was pretty good: we had tortilla soup and fish tacos. Also a selection of salads, pizzas, sanwiches, and entrees. Knowledgeable staff, fairly friendlly, too -- but perhaps a tad too rushed, even though the place was not crowded. Our server was pretty good. But another sat right outside our window, chatting away on her cell phone. The beers are in great condition, fresh, served at proper temperatures (not too cold), and much much better than FW stuff in bottles. Flights of four generous samplers or individual beers, as you like it. They also have what they label "Library" sales -- bottles of earlier vintages for consumption on premises only (to prevent high-priced resales on eBay, etc.). Wish I’d had more time here. I certainly do plan on going back. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 womencantsail (386) Garbage Grove, California | October 15, 2012 Pretty large restaurant/bar right across from the brewery. Lots of taps with a few beers you don’t see much of/at all outside of the brewery. The food was pretty good. It’s definitely a step up from typical pub food, too. The service was okay, but one of the bartenders did stop to do her makeup while I was sitting there. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 iammatt (3) California | July 13, 2012 Nice tap room with a great selection of super fresh beer. Normally is a pretty good vibe and service, however when a winery tour bus arrives you might as well leave or be ready to wait a half hour for a beer. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 15/20 ckwake74 (2) California | June 29, 2012 The service was not great when I went. But I got a beer. Loved the wookey jack; great take on the black iPad (rye). Excellent chili. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 fidel (74) Livermore, California | June 12, 2012 Nice Tap room with lots of space. All the standards, plus several rare yummy offerings. Very helpful, and intelligent staff. Helldorado was amazing! | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 JPDurden24 (110) Chandler, Arizona | June 10, 2012 Stopped in before the FWIBF, great taproom. Looks awesome inside and out. Plus the wonderful beer makes it that much better. | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 daknole (300) Scottsdale, Arizona | June 8, 2012 Great new tap house. Awesome service. I really enjoyed my visit. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 thome50 (17) Boringville aka Irvine, California | February 18, 2012 Nice set up with a lot of taps. Usually something that you can’t get in bottles is here. Some of the staff can be a bit off putting but this was not the majority. The growlers are cheap, the fills aren’t always but it’s awesome to get Double Jack fills. The place can get crowded and the service can slow down if people are doing a lot of tasters but never have I seen a huge line that you have to wait more than 10 min in. |
