Amazing selection of draught and bottle beer. My only complaint is the pricing. Some of the prices for beer is extremely inflated. I no longer go here because of it. Overall a great place just bring your credit card.

Visited here in July ’07. Best selection of beers I have seen a bar in the South. Reminds me a lot of the Ginger Man in Austin. Hundreds on tap and in the bottle - basically anything you can get in the newly "high gravity allowed" state of South Carolina. Young, energetic staff - somewhat beer knowledgeable. Food was decent - only had the nachos. Prices are a tad steep - but they do allow you to have "flights" of 5 - 5 oz beers of your choice from their draught list for $8. Even have a few picked out for you - I had the "Carolinas" flight. Loud atmosphere, everyone seemed to be having a good time. Recommended.

One of the newest (the Cordova, TN just opened) saucer. it doesnt have quite the attitude that the Ft Worth one has, but is a good place. they have pretty much every beer you can legally have in SC. the staff is hit or miss, nothing compared to the staff they had when they first opened. food is decent and decent price, although gets old quick if you visit often. avoid on friday or saturday nights if you enjoy beer and like to hear the person next to you.

Average Flying Saucer, but the best beer bar in Columbia.

They keep around 80 brews on tap everyday, and stock 130-150 diff. bottles. The layout includes an outdoor Euro-Garden and a very spacious, high ceiling, bar inside... with ample setting. The ladies wear a catholic school outfit (plaid skirt& stockings) and ,for the most part, know their beer (or atleast how to pronounce it). The food is very good (moderatly priced ~$9) and goes great w/ a vareity of styles. The German Sampler is perfect, minus the price. This place will be kicking once we (SC) drops this ABV limit. On tap: many Rouges, a couple of Unibroues, all the locals, a few good Belgiums, and there a couple of damn good bottles. Plus they do try to use proper glassware and there a like 5 large tv’s.
