Stopped in around Christmas time a few years back.Very comfortable place.HUGE selection of beers on tap.I mean a bunch.Prices not bad.Fine looking waitresess dressed in Catholic school uniforms and high stockings with maryjanes.Nice touch.I had 2 or 3 pints of favorites and 2 or 3 new tastes.Didnt eat because I had a dinner spot picked out earlier across the street.Watched a football game on a huge projection screen while getting toasty.Wish there were more of these establishments outside of the South.

Just off Beale Street. Poked my nose in the door and looked at the beer list to decide if I wanted to pay the $3 cover. Decided to keep walking, but the beer list was truly impressive. Lots of selections divided clearly into categories with plenty of selections at decent bar prices... although some of the items seemed a little high. Will be back when I have more time.

Visited here Friday, February 28, 2007, the night before the Liberty Bowl. Easy to find, just a few blocks away from Beale Street. There is a front room with a stage for bands, which might explain the $5 cover to get in. I skipped that and opted for the large back room where the main bar is. First impression.....WAY TO SMOKY. Disgustingly so. Typical Flying Saucer selection, which is extensive, but lacking anything really special or hard to find. I ordered an Old Raspy, but I remember distinctly that I couldn’t really smell or taste it because of the thick cloud of smoke. WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE ALLOW SMOKING IN A BAR THAT IS BASED ENTIRELY ON CRAFT BEER!? Anyways, I switched to the $2.75 special, whatever it was, for my next drink because I couldn’t properly enjoy a really good beer. I won’t be back unless the smoking goes away.

Great spot not far from Beale street. Great draught emporium!! Great waitresses!! Daily entertainment. Food is bar like, but I love it. Best pretzels.....Definetly a great spot before or after walking Beale street.

A nice place to stop in downtown Memphis. A nice selection of beers served in authentic glassware. One pro at this place is pint night, where a lot of their beers (even some of the better ones) are only $2.75 on Tuesdays. The place is very smoky, and without much ventilation unless the windows are open. Also, I was slightly disappointed to see only a couple of local (or regional for that matter) beer selections. I still think that the place was pretty good overall.

Nice place, similar to the Nashville outpost only smaller. Food options are limited but well thought out and of good quality. Usinger brats are excellent and cheese and beer pairngs are very nice. Selection is wide but does have a lot of less than stellar options. Service was attentive and generally knowledgeable and opinionated about the beer. Good fresh draught options and lots of bottles. Nice place with live music and a lively crowd.

The one plus of this Saucer is its proximity to Beale St.-don’t spend too much time here. The layout is awkward compared to Nashville and other brewhouses, perhaps designed to make use of the outdoor bar rail. I ordered Beer Cheese Soup and got a bowl of melted cheese with breadsticks, unlike the breadbowl at other Saucers. Service was OK but with few people there it could have been better.

Far more crowded than some other Saucer’s I have been to, this one was still a blast. The girls are fantastic looking. Bar is smaller than Nashville’s and I feel like the selection isn’t quite as good. More bands here, which is very cool. Beats the pants off of Boscos beer-wise.

went there on a fri nite after dinner. great selection on draft. dig the retro tongue in cheek humor. Staff knew their beer selection. Highly recommended. gave the food a 7 even though didn’t try it; only saw menu and a bit of what others had.

A must-stop in Memphis. Guys with guitars on the open air porch. Big selection. Try to get the fetching and beer-savvy Elizabeth for a bartender, and make sure that you ask for her famous BBQ chicken, onion and apple pizza variant. Dings to the management for not appreciating all the dough my company guys are dropping on their expense accounts here.
