| beerchugger (23), North Canton, Ohio | | May 3, 2011 For what this place is (a mini mart), their beer selection is really good. Some hard to find stuff, loads of different craft beer, and the prices are reasonable. They’re not Rozi’s, but they’re not Giant Eagle either. If you are in the area looking for a decent place to stop, I’d recommend giving this place a shot. We went based on the ratings here on RB and was a little surprised that it was as good as it was. They had Mikkeller It’s Alive and a few other hard to find gems. Just don’t expect them to carry only craft beer...it is a mini mart. | Hubajube (7), does not count - explanation | | November 18, 2010 Not a bad little place. You’ll find a few unique things here. | mefolts (6), New York does not count - explanation | | October 5, 2010 Although it is a mini-mart, the selection was rather extensive. I got an Alesmith Wee Heavy and my friend got an Alesmith Speedway Stout just to name a few. Definitely worth checking out. A real diamond in the rough. | livelaughlovep (6), Lakewood, Ohio does not count - explanation | | June 16, 2010 Meh. I vastly prefer Rozi’s. I was very displeased with the selection of singles for mixed 6’s. Nearly all IPA’s with a few summer beers, and a collection of heavy, winter stouts. Weird. I don’t exactly want to make an entire mixed six out of either IPA or something out of season.
I really disliked that you couldn’t break sixpacks like I can at Rozi’s. So even if I wished, I couldn’t escape the monotony of their poor selection of singles. Don’t think I will return, Rozi’s has better selection, same pricing, AND lets me buy whatever I want as a single.
They were polite and somewhat knowledgeable though. | | barak316 (15), Elyria, Ohio | | January 28, 2010 [ Updated May 11, 2010 ] Good selection, good prices and good service! | apaternite (2), Ohio does not count - explanation | | December 4, 2009 Small, but they pack a very unique selection of some rare beers. John knows his beer and will recommend you some really good ones if you ask him. They are selling their beer online now at BestBeerOnline.com | | Icommonsewer (11), TUCSON, Arizona | | September 4, 2009 Great little place to get some local craft brews. It is actually a convenience store like 7-11 but with a great beer selection! The guy at the counter let me break a six of a beer he didnt have in the singles cooler. | | MikeF (205), Cleveland, Ohio | | February 8, 2009 Great stop in Lakewood. I have picked up some hard to find brews here occassionaly (e.g. bourbon aged founders breakfast stout). No the largest selection, but a solid one. |
