You won’t find a better selection of beer in northern Columbus. The owners are very personable and listen to suggestions. Essential stop!

beerdowner (1), , does not count - explanation | | September 2, 2009 First off I have to say that I am new to this particular site...after reading the reviews here I felt I needed to put my two cents in on this place..first of all the person that gave this place a 10 I think is on crack! From The Vine has one of the better selections of QUALITY beers that I have seen in a long time! I stopped in today and picked up their last bottle of Darklord and a bottle of Alesmith Speedway...anyway if you’re looking for quality beers, From The Vine is the place to go! | flower1717 (1), , does not count - explanation | | September 2, 2009 Not enough selection. | hopfest (1), Reynoldsburg, Ohio does not count - explanation | | February 18, 2009 I’ve been shopping in this store for at least a year now..they have the best selection in the city in my opinion and obviously many other’s opinions as well..they may not have the biggest selection but they have by far the best! I was very surprised at a couple of the reviews that I read that talked about pricing and selection..as for pricing they are pretty much right on with everyone else..I think mister Beerbelcher maybe needs to study up on Ohio’s prices..a bit different than other states! On my latest venture to From The Vine I picked up some Nogne O, Alesmith, Beer Geek Brunch, Hoppin Frog and some Jolly Pumpkin, and their shelves were plenty stocked!! If you’re in the area (or not) you should take the time to stop into this gem! | | BeerBelcher (127), Columbus, Ohio | | February 15, 2009 [ Updated April 26, 2009 ] I am relatively new to the Columbus area, having moved here a few weeks ago, and I must say that if this website is correct, and that this is indeed the best beer store in the area, I have some reservations about my beer-drinking future here in Columbus. Compared to beer stores in Wisconsin, the selection at this store was limited and what was present was massively over-priced.
This is primarily a wine store, and the beer selection is limited to one aisle. And much of that aisle seemed empty or out of stock to me. And what was present was mostly mind-blowing. Some Great Lakes, some Hoppin’ Frog, some Bell’s. I bought two Brew Master bottles I’d also seen at Blacklick Liquors. However, they did have some hard-to-find beers such as Struisse and AleSmith.
And what was present was highly over-priced. The few 12oz singles were mostly priced at $4.99; many of these same singles would be less in WI. IL, or IN.
The lady proprietor behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. But I can’t say her | JaBier (7), Capital City, Ohio does not count - explanation | | October 11, 2008 Probably my favorite place to buy beer whenever I can get to this end of town. The sophisticated ambiance of a fine wine shop, but with a monster beer selection. The most interesting part is that they don’t dedicate a whole lot of space to beer, but they maximize the space they do have. They use about 1/3 of the space most of the other good beer stores around town use, but still manage to carry some really good stuff you can’t get anywhere else in the city. Jamie the owner is incredibly friendly and she will give you some great suggestions. | | DragonStout (73), Pataskala, Ohio | | August 1, 2008 What a great store. They had some hard to find beers here.Low and behold we found a Westy12 and Westy 8 on the shelf. They were pricey but you only live once.Thank you Dawn for taking me here. | | Glouglouburp (206), Montreal, Quebec | | May 15, 2008 Small store where beer occupies probably about 20% of the space. Selection is limited in number but it’s a good selection. The good thing about that store is that is seems to be exact opposite of Rozi’s up in the Cleveland area in that it seems to have a slow turnover. Not many beer-geeks seem to go there. This means you can score some interesting beers here when it’s sold out at other locations. To tell you how slow the turnover seems to be, I was there end of april 2008 and they still had YuleSmith Summer 2007. I managed to score a few Ola Dubh 30 Year Old and a few BrewDog Paradox Islay (Batch 008) that were sold out in other stores. Woman clerk was so friendly so I suspect she was the owner. A nice little beer store despite the small selection. | | 502Flavors (37), Louisville, Kentucky | | May 10, 2008 Best store I have encountered found it through this website. Great selection of more hard to find beers including some pretty rare ones including Westy 12 pretty often (28 a bottle). It is a well put together, professional wine and specilty beer store with a friendly staff that knows its beer and wine. Check it out if your in Columbus | lincolnbachman (1), does not count - explanation | | May 10, 2008 This is the place to come if you’re looking for some of the highest quality beers. They may not have the largest selection but they have the best quality that I’ve come across in Columbus! Some of the things I walked away with: Peche Mortel, Westy 12, 3 different Fantomes, Immort and Sierra Nevada Southern Hemishphere. | BuckeyeSammy (6), Cleveland, Ohio does not count - explanation | | April 5, 2008 Average sized, rolling selection
of rare brewers. Deffinately an upscale establishment. Was impressed to find a WestV 12 there. They are also willing to ship, and put aside a lot of requests. | View Page: 1 2 3 4
