A small and secluded spot near the centre of Oslo. There’s a nice beer garden thats open in the summer, but I visited in december so it was not open. The selection is better in other places, but what they have is mostly just good stuff. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.

A small and cozy place with a big beer garden. Not the biggest beer selection in town but good enough for a few evenings and the selection seems to be handpicked. A few rare choices as well for the picky one. A super engaged bartender made my day. Hope to come back a nice summer day to try out the garden.

Relaxed atmosphere at my visit earli night, got that neigbourhood hospoda feeling, attentive bartender, service minden.Nice selection of tap beers, a porter from Uncommon, my first meet with this brewery. A place to stretch your legs, read a book and have some good beers. Well worth a detour, located just a 5 min walk from Schoukjelleren.

The new ber place in Oslo some people says. Well, not so big selection with some quality items to choose. Tap beer from Schouskjelleren and some micros bottled from Norway, Usa, Italy, etc. Small place in a nice old house in the middle of Oslo. A lot of chics! At least the night I was there. Worth the visit.

Great place for a summer beer with their excellent courtyard and backyard benches. The pub is hosted by good people that have a neat selection of non mainstream craft beer. The pooltable is even free to use!

Four beers on tap, about 20 bottles when I was in. A great place to spend a sunny afternoon, you may even bring your own food. The service is not too attentive, but I think this will be a staple on an Oslo pub crawl. Beer from Schouskjelleren, both their own brews and imports.

Gaasa opened up in late May 2012 but has already established itself as a very good beer bar and, more importantly, they provide the first real beer garden in Oslo. Located out back, the wooden benches and tables provide a quiet and secluded space to enjoy a good draft beer. Gaasa has a nice selection of bottled beers (Le Baladin , 3 Fonteinen, Omnipollo) and four craft beers on taps - including its own house ale, the hoppy and very tasty Gaasa IPA (brewed at Schouskjelleren, just up the street). There is currently no food service, but the owners are working on a concept.

Cozy and intimate indoors, spacious and green outdoors, and no TVs showing soccer! A limited beer selection, but only high quality beers. 5 (or was it 6?) beers on tap, the rest are bottles stored in a bit too cold fridge. Also a good selection of wine, if you are so inclined. The only staff member present yesterday was very helpful, knowledgeable and service minded. He even offered a sample for free! Unfortunately there is no food at the moment, but the owner is planning on BBQ-ing during weekends. I’ll definitely visit Gaasa again.

Nice place outside the most common tourist trap places. A fine patio and a nice beer selection.
