I liked this place more in college. First dive into German beers back then in the rockin’ basement party atmosphere on weekends. Selection is good, but obviously just 10 or so German beers. I get a bit annoyed by the "German Flare" but it’s fun.

Not great beer, but really a fun place. Nice place to go with non-beery friends.

Great German food. I prefer splitting the two person combos with someone. the food is amazing. Great stuff. The beer is almost all German selections. If you are looking for good beer, they have it here, but its German. If your looking for American craft, try one of the many other establishments in the area. But seriously eat here and drink a boot or two.

it’s zur not zum. no wonder I couldn’t find this listing. There is another review for zur now. I love this place, kinda spendy by Minneapolis standards ($18 - $28 per plate) but Mario rocks. For the love of God people it isn’t Gustaf’s or Gasthof’s. This isn’t a person it is a place. Please stop Scandinavian-izing this name. There are more Germans in Minnesota than "Ya’ Betchas" Gasthof = Guest House. zur = of Gemütlichkeit = coziness/friendliness

A favorite of the locals, and a great party spot. Not really a craft beer destination, but they have plenty of German beers on tap, good food, and everyone seems to have a ton of fun here.

What a fun place to hang out, great atmosphere, great service and great german food! Just not a great craft beer place.

Neat German beer hall look inside. Food is expensive but very good and reminded us of our years living in Germany. Beer on tap was average with your well known German brands. I would imagine you would come here for the food not the beer.

My brother saw this place featured on Man v. Food and said I absolutely had to go when in MN and let him know how it was. Split a meal for two with my friend. Had jaegerschnitzel, bratwurst, rouladen, rotkraut, sauerkraut, spaetzle, mashed potatoes, ham steak and dumplings. I thought with all these things in one meal they would be small portions...they weren’t. Lots of food and a shot of pear schnapps (they were out of Apfelkorn) for $46. Oh, and the beer selection was okay. Had some good German beers. Needless to say, the beer wasn’t why we went here. Good stuff and worth the stop.

Oh Gasthof’s. Fun place to go but not if you are looking for american craft beer. Excellent food which can be a little pricey. Great ambiance in the dining hall as the servers and crowd really interact well. Be prepared to go downstairs for polka music and drinking from Das Boot! Hard to stay very sober here.

Great atmosphere and food, but was lacking anything special as far as beer goes. Would like to see a few different beers that are hard to get a hold of. Very fun place though!
