Nice looking place. OK selection. Mug wall looked interesting if youre a local. Wouldnt be my first stop in town.

Decent selection of beers brewed on site. The service could have been better but it was a bit crowded. Decent all around.

Right down the block from Hopcat, stopped in for a sampler before heading to the Bob and Hopcat. The prices were reasonable, I think $6 for a sampler of six beers. The waitress actually gave me them all as she saw I was taking notes. The beer wasn’t spectacular, but it was a lot better than the old Grand Rapids on 28th Street. Wooden décor with a lot of big long tables. Service was pretty good and with 10 beers on tap the selection was decent as well. I didn’t eat here but they had a $5 deal where you got a pint and a sausage, it was tough to pass that one up

This is a rating for the new brewpub downtown. It’s a nice place. A decent selection of beers. Food was good, if a little pricey. Good service. Not so loud you couldn’t talk to people at your table. The beers were OK. I had their beer flight (6 beers) and none were anything to really write home about.

Very good food and friendly fast service. They also have beer, but nothing to write home about.

A nice little brewpub. Would like to see more beers on tap for a wider variety. The food is great, the service is awesome. The beer is good, could be a little better - but still, good pints poured here!

Another brew pub that has not changed much over the years, but has stood the test of time fairly well. They have a good Oatmeal Stout when it’s in season, but with most of the other beer I have tried they tend to play it safe. This is another place that when it opened was unique, but now the market is saturated (not that that is bad thing for us craft beer lovers). This make a nice night out. Food is good. Service is good. We occasionally stop on our way through GR, although newer brewers such as Founders definitely steal the thunder away from places like this. The advantage for this place is location (28th street near I-96). It’s near everything that goes along with the mess that is 28th street in the mall-shopping district.

Visited twice on business. Relaxed atmosphere at lunchtime...prices for food are competitive, and the food is pretty good. Beer is about average for your typical brewpub, and it has a family establishment feel, so the beers are obviously designed to cater to the casual beer drinker. Usually only one beer on tap that is ’outside the norm’...e.g. an Impy Stout or a Maibock...otherwise, its the traditional blonde, lager, red, etc that you choose from. All this being said, I left this place satisfied and would visit again, though if we went somewhere else next time, I wouldn’t be disappointed...get my drift?

Last visit was for a beer tasting hosted by a friend of mine. Service was friendly, beer was enjoyable but nothing to right home about. I didn’t eat the food, but the guy next to me had some great looking chicken tenders... can’t screw those up. Had a burger on my most recent visit - it sucked

Smokey bar, below average beer, comatose servers.. I don’t think they really care...
