Rather a split-personality kind of experience, this place. The beer lover who’s noticed the pitiful unavailability of beer of any worth in the town’s grocery stores will be overjoyed on the selection here. But be prepared for service that is absolutely in the toilet. You can wander the aisles completely ignore, and try asking for help if you don’t mind getting your head chewed off. The most unfriendly, surly staff I have encountered anywhere. It’s enough to keep me out of the store, actually, and do with the average Flying Dog I can find in Bi-Lo or the better imports in the package store on Ft. Jackson, where they always call me Sir. Goodbye, Greens.

Pathetic service, in fact no service to speak of. The staff knows little to nothing aabout any beer on the shelf save the mainstream stuff. Better off going elsewhere and supporting a smaller retailer.

I’m writing from memory here, so I haven’t visited since the change in SC alcohol laws. I’ll update when I do. Big warehouse style store focused mostly on wine (they have a house sommelier), but with a few aisles of beer as well. It’s situated right on the interstate, which makes it a very convenient stop when passing through Columbia.

A must stop location when traveling to or from Myrtle Beach. Large selection. South Carolina alcohol laws are strange.

i had never been in a two sided liquor store. suppose some law about mixing beer/wine with harder stuff. beer selection was average at best. i did get a bottle of coach spurrier wine though. probably wont find that in many places.

Pretty decent beer selection here: a few micros, quite a bit of imports. There’s always something I’d like to try here. The best thing about Green’s is the price. It’s so cheap. This doesn’t really hold a candle to the Atlanta locations due to SC beer laws, but it’s worth a stop to stock up if in the area.

Descent selection of German and English, couple French and Blegian, five Indian, few Carribean , and local beers in six packs. Best bottle selection in the area.

Average two-sided discount beer&wine/ liquer store. Selection is good, but overstocked with the same stuff. Provides a good access to local brews thou, a few big bottles like Moinette Biologique (Foret), 3 Monts, some 22’s of Rouge, and yes very good German selection (thou slanted due to ABV limits) like Ayinger w/out Celebrator. Really not too bad, I guess, "given the area."

Large store with excellent selection for the area. Quite a few German and Belgian beers available. Mainly has macros but has one of the best selections of micros and imports in the area. Not nearly the selection you find at Green’s in Atlanta but not bad/
