Came here in 2005 or 2006 while on a crazy trip (we snorted some mali on the way, don’t ask) with hopistotle420, the man who introduced me to cantillon and ratebeer. Incrediblely large selection, isles upon isles of BEER and I remember a growler filling station as well. Very large beer only store. Huge selection but nothing extremely rare. Can break any sixer which is awesome. Cool growler station. Definitely worth a trip. Not the best beer store in the USA, but certainly up there. About a half dozen rows of beers, plus a clearance area, where I picked up a magnum of red & white mikkeller. Excellent US micro selection, however I found the foreign to be merely par. Good selection of glssware as well. A long shlep up a smaller highway. Great beer store with an awesome staff. Though Jay claimed nothing too rare was in when I was there, I still found plenty to spend money on. The thing is, when you’re used to shopping for beer in small NYC stores, Half Time is great... I’ve never shopped for beer with a shopping cart before and it’s a great feeling. If I wasn’t taking public transportation home, I could have doubled or tripled what I spent and still missed plenty. Great selection for macro fans too. When I was there, they had a 2-for-1 deal on growlers for Independence day... so watch out for deals, too!
