80 Classic San Diego old school place, small, scruffy, lived in. Ceiling covered with tap handles. Just three booths, two pool tables and the bar. Efficient knowledgeable staff. Mostly shaker pints, oh well. Great selection, solid bottle list. |
82 Visited during an early afternoon on the Super Bowl Sunday in February 2017. This place was dark and with quite few guests. The selection was nice, Pliny the Elder was one of the beers on tap. The service was decent. I walked from my hotel, The Lafayette, it took around one hour. Next time I will stay a bit longer at this place. |

74 Visited on 12th November 2014. Got a cab from Toronado to here. It’s a large bar with lots of tables. It was very busy and we managed to squeeze into a table in the corner. A good range of beers on tap with a lot from Green Flash. Only available in pints which slows rating down a bit unless in group. Prices were decent and service good. Liked this place. |

80 Large selection of beers. Knowlegdable staff. |
82 Cozy pub in nice neighbourhood. 28 taps serving fine craft beers. Good prices like pliny the elder for 6.5$. But big disappointment is that they are not serving half pints, only pints. They do have selected beer flight but you can’t make your own flight. I don’t get it. This same thing brings disappointment almost every time when going to good beer bar. Only russian river in santa rosa knows how to do this thing. |
70 A little let down on my visit. Very divey, overcrowded, smelly. I was passed over by the bartender a few times before getting my first beer. And though they have about 30 taps, they had a Green flash tap takeover and nearly every tap was beer that I get back on the east coast. I might try it again but not this trip. |
