Really cool place. The guys who run Stuise are great and one of them is usually present. They have something like 15-20 beers on tap for tasters and the value is fantastic. You can also buy bottles there for takeaway and, again, the value is great. In terms of atmosphere, this place is literally an old school, and it has that feel. In the colder months the place can feel a bit sterile and drafty, but I would imagine that itís beautiful in the summer. Definitely worth a visit.

I think this is where I rate the webshop, since itís listed under the "mail order beer" section. I ordered some Pannepot before the site went down. I donít have access to the new site anymore (if itís even around anymore) but my experience was positive. Pricing is pretty good on the bottles, at least compared to the US, but the shipping of course ruins it. I was shocked when the box arrived in a plastic crate that the bottles would be delivered to the store in. The bottles were clinking together all the way from Belgium but I guess that never bothered any of the customs officials or the postal workers since the box made it just fine. Of course the documentation all says "yeast samples". Beyond that I havenít had much contact with the Struise guys. I met Urbain at Borefts and had some email contact with him and Carlo about visiting the school while we were staying in Watou. Unfortunately it didnít work out and we werenít able to tour the school house. Next time.

First time visiting the brewery. I love the environment and how they use the history of the building as a school to teach people how they make their beer. Since struise is my favorite brewer itís quite obvious I give them a high rating.

No ambiance, no atmosphere, just a tiny and eerily quiet classroom of disjointed visitors. Many were scribbling their notes down, no doubt with a view to rating their beers later. Iíd been looking forward to going here for years but left disappointed with the experience. The taps are great value for money but the classroom is not somewhere youíd want to spend much time in. For serious beer nerds only.

Not much more to add. 10 or more Struise beers on tap, often new and experimental ones, bottles to buy. Yeah. We rented bikes in Poperinge and rode the 11 km or so to get here. Good idea if you are looking for a way.

very friendly, place to visit ( even though by public transport it took me 6,5 hours from antwerp ) its always worth a trip . many taps, plus the newest struise bottles available . no golden oldies here, just the new stuff and the drafts. plus you can take a look around, talk to urbain / carlo / jeroen / whoever is there .

Had a great time here talking to the brewers and being poured beer by Carlo. What a nice guy! None of the "whales" were available, but I did have a chance to try 3 Struise beers I had not yet even heard of. Well worth the trip if youíre a fan of Struise beers.

I had a lot of fun here. We were on a bike so we tried everthing from the taps. The only bad thing was there were a lot of taps empty. From the 30 taps there were only 12-14 availlable. Also the black alberts were out :(
The service was excellent. Great talk with the brewers and the value was good.

The greatest brewery visit i ever had!. Irwin welcomed us in our visit to their facilities, showed all the insides of the place, offered several beers from their more than 20 taps, and then some more bottles from the barrel age room fridges. It was really amazing. This happens when you find real beerlovers at a place, which is not so common in some breweries.
If you can only choose a place to visit in Belgium Struise is the one!
