Stopped by this place on the black tuesday release. Selection was pretty good, nothing amazing, but they had lots of random beer gems sitting around, kind of place you can go to and leave with something you didnt plan on finding. This however is because their prices are terrible. Plan on paying 20% more for beer than most other places, and if you drink it on site plan on paying 50% more. Got conflicting info on cost to consume on site, Picked out a handfull of bottles with one to drink there, the great grampa who owns it i assume rang me up. blatantly looking right at the prices on the bottles he rings them all up higher than marked on the tags. I was shocked he was doing it, he must have assumed i was retarded, he then told me it would be $5 to drink the beer on site as I requested (his son had just told me $2 about 3 minutes before that), I shrugged and said "fine", my total was a little under $40, I handed him two twenties, he opened the register, took out two quarters, a penny, and a "no cash value" arcade token and handed them to me and put the $40 in his pocket. Aside form that we had another cryptic woman give the girls in our party attitude, I overheard the son telling someone how there’s no such thing as too much profit, blah blah blah. Then, whatever you order gets screamed across the store with the price. This tells me that not only is basic math too hard for these people, but they have no faith in their customers. Just really a scummy place to go, i am fine with high prices, but keep the crypt keeper off the register and treat your customers a little better.

Convenient location off one of the myriad highways and not too far from Angels stadium, good food and several nice beers on tap, bottle selection often has some hard to find stuff like Drakes, hours are short though, closed on weekends

In a strip mall with limited parking. A relatively small store, with a good selection. It’s cramped in here, though. and a lot of the beer shelves are located in the deli seating area- so when they’re busy it’s tough shopping here. There are a few draft brews to quaff with your lunch. Bottle prices are on the high side.

A great little unassuming beer "shack" tucked away in a strip mall. The emphasis here is on great craft beer from around the world, but the owners will be the first one to tell you that they also care greatly about their sandwiches (which I didn’t have the chance to try). You can be sure to find all the best craft brew from Alesmith, LA/Port, Green Flash, hell even Dogfish, Victory, and other tough-to-get-in-socal stuff. Prices are a touch high, but what the hell an extra buck isn’t much at all. Oh, and did I mention the always stellar 15 or so beers on tap? Heaven!

Here’s a quaint mini market in San Clemente with a pretty good selection of beers. South El Camino Real seems saturated with these types of stores, but this is the one I stopped at. All the beer is refrigerated, which is a big plus, and the shelves are clean and well organized. Among breweries to choose from, there is Stone, Left Coast, Anderson Valley, Unibroue, Chimay, Affligem, Rogue, Eel River, Russian River (Pliny & Blind Pig), Paulaner, several varieties of Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams, Leffe, Bear Republic, and Port Brewing. There were three people at the front counter, which means I didn’t have to wait in line for the guy in front of me. I came away with a Double Bastard, albeit for $7.70 w/tax...yikes. Please guys, put some price tags on the bottles. Is it the best beer store in San Clemente? I don’t know, but it’s the only good one I know about.

I have been here twice on visits to Southern California. The first time was on a late Friday afternoon when it was bustling with regulars after work. I absolutely loved this place. The staff is always joking around with you and will make conversation if they have time. The place is very cozy (small) but also packed with a great bottle selection. Their tap list is not large, but they end up getting some pretty limited stuff on tap. The regular were also very friendly and our group ended up chatting them up for awhile as well. Great place, I wish I could be a regular here.

The first thing you notice is the wall to wall cold case FULL of great beer. The place is small and the ambiance is less than exciting. The food is simple but good. As for service and staff, the place is family owned and run (not always a good thing) If your not in the "Regular Click" be prepared to stand around and wait a long time to be served. All in all its a pretty good beer place but I don’t understand the high ratings...???

Place is awesome! Great beers on tap. Kenny and family are a huge help, super nice, good people. Unbelievable selection in store. Good deli sandwiches. Beer on tap is a really good price. Sandwiches and beers in store just ok priced. Not open very late or on weekends, but it’s a perfect family run place that is what it is. Take it or leave it!
