| presario (135), Stampede City, Alberta | | March 25, 2012 Best description is of a big ski chalet. Two floors of happiness, great beer and food. I had an appetizer but the child with us had the world’s largest kid’s meal burger. Friendly staff and great beers. | | chris2431 (11), Oregon | | January 3, 2012 Hey they’re eco-friendly!....but the beer is just okay. Enjoyed the Deluxe Organic Ale the most. Ended up leaving with a pony keg of it actually. Nice atmosphere .....especially if you like bicycles. | | BOLTZ7555 (56), Phoenix, Arizona | | January 1, 2012 Nice little brewhouse with tasty menu items, solid service, and bottles available to go. Lots of west coast hoppy brews. My wife was a huge fan of Ace of Spades. Kind of a hippy vibe. Everything organic/locally grown. A bit out of the way but glad we visited. | | notalush (256), Denver, Colorado | | December 17, 2011 Huge brewpub in a semi-suburban area of town - reminded me a bit of the Heartland locations in NYC, but with a "we are Eco-friendly and ride bikes" kind of vibe - staff was attentive and quick, despite the fact that it was crazy busy - 10 beers on tap, available as one flight for 8.50, which would be the deal of the century if the beers were better than they are (and if they had more interesting styles) - some were okay, but most were mediocre and/or downright boring - did not have the food, so I cannot comment on that - an okay spot - would probably be great were it not in a town like PDX - I would recommend passing on this place. | | dresden (24), Saskatchewan | | November 20, 2011 We went here for lunch with our infant son, they were very happy to give us a nice quiet spot. Food was excellent and the portions were huge. We ordered a sample tray of beer and the waiter had no description for any of them "ummm it’s good." Luckily most were self descriptive and I just looked up the others on my phone. Almost every beer was top notch. This would probably be a regular stop for me if I lived anywhere nearby. | eliidubya (7), Portland, Oregon does not count - explanation | | November 8, 2011 Hopworks is one of my favorite breweries, they have an amazing happy hour with great food at crazy low prices. Most of their beer is wonderful, the service is ALWAYS fast and friendly. It feels like home. If you’re an IPA fan, try their IPA. | | billk (42), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho | | August 30, 2011 [ Updated October 20, 2011 ] This place didn’t work for me. The servers seemed condescending, the "Czech pils" was creamy, malty, sweet, not good (I like a Pils to be dry, and crisp tasting). The cask ESB was OK but not at all remarkable.
The pizza was really bad. The salad dressing was the best part of the salad. | | can8ianben (84), Souderton, Pennsylvania | | August 16, 2011 Really cool (and busy) bicycle-themed Portland beer destination. Holds a ton of people sampling their organic beer and delicious food. Very family friendly, but comes off a bit like a restaurant experience rather than a brewpub. Food was good, but the noise level (sans music) was really high at our upstairs loft table. Beer selection was big, but nothing really stood out to me besides the organic nature of their product - which isn’t exactly unique in Portland. | | soul11man (54), Portland, Oregon | | August 14, 2011 [ Updated September 22, 2011 ] I give HUB props for being environmentally conscious ie: using windpower, recycling, creating organic beers and using local ingredients. Plus their beers are wonderfully crafted with great variety. They are also one of the only breweries to slip into the SE quadrant of PDX. Biketobeer fest was a great event here promoting biking in PDX. There were 1000’s of bikes throughout the day. They had a wide selection of 15 different beers on hand for this event. | comptonrc (6), Albuquerque, New Mexico does not count - explanation | | June 12, 2011 Visited this place with my brother’s family and was completely impressed with quality and selection of beer, not to mention we took his 4 year and they had a fun place for him to play while we drank. Coodoos! |
