Lots of beer and occasionally tons of it (palate loads of hopslam for example). The layout is really annoying and seems haphazard. They probably have the best selection of international beers in the area though. I didn’t see a ton of really special stuff but I could have come on the wrong day. The market is on the other side of town for me and the parking and checkout are always super time consuming and frustrating. That being said, they have a big selection and the non-beer portion of the market is great.

This place is my go-to beer store in the central MI area. The staff, especially Dan, is very helpful and has some good suggestions to try. I highly recommend this place.

Best selection in Lansing. Not well organized. If you can find staff they’re helpful. Don’t seem to get special releases (or I don’t shop often enough).

I want to corroborate the recent reviews and add a few more comments. Horrocks just opened a tasting bar, mostly for wine. They have put out some beers for tastings, but nothing special (e.g., Leinenkugels Red that they were promoting). Select from several choices of free (good) coffees or teas to sip while you browse the beers. Michigan brews featured, but also nice assortment from around the world; getting more out-of-state beers. Riseagainstme is right: watch for old stock. They do not pull old stuff or mark it down to move it. They shelf a large selection of singles and will break out any single, if asked. If you are looking for a special release, they will tell you when they expect it (or tell you they won’t have it). And one important tip: Ask what they have behind the counter. They hold back some limited releases for regulars who know to ask.

Great place to shop for everything and has a good beer and wine selection. They randomly get beers no one else in the area gets which is nice. The only caution is to check dates on beers. I was just in there and found one that was bottled in 2005 and said in was best by 2009 and they still had it on the shelf.

This place has come a long way...they’ve really done a number on the beer section here in the past couple of years. Great selections from a variety of brewers that has broadened its range to not only Michigan brewers. Nice international variety too. To anyone reading these reviews: trust this one, the others are outdated and do not reflect the work the dude in the back of the store has done.

For a farm market Horrocks has a pretty good selection of beers & wine. As a prior review states, there aren’t a whole lot of choices for beer stores in Delta Township. When I lived out on the westside, it is where I made my purchases.

Have lots of six packs. The individuals beer section is kind of small. Prices are ok. They seem to be slow on getting the seasonal releases. They do have a lot of the RATEBEER ratings listed on the beers which is nice. Only place on Westside I know of with so much selection... and two hearted! I have to rerate this place as I have recently been back. They have a great selection now. All the local beers, best selection Ive seen!

This is the best beer store I’m aware of on the west side of Lansing. And, as an added bonus, they have a very nice selection of produce and specialty foods, including a nice olive bar. But, enough about nutrients. Their beer selection includes most standard Michigan micros, but lacks special releases and some seasonals. Horrock’s carries the usual assortment of non-Michigan domestic micros, including Stone, Dogfish Head, Victory, Rogue, etc. Their Belgian selection is rather limited. This isn’t the best place in town to look for special releases and rare beers, but is a good place to shop if you’re looking for a nice bottle or six-pack.
