Charlottesville’s "British" pub. If by "British" you mean a decent selection completely marred by staff with a bad attitude and inflated prices then it is right on the button. Not impressed.

Finally stopped by here. Probably won’t be going back. I’ll start with the good... the service was pleasant and the beers were good, with a nice selection. I had a Highland Cold Mountain Winter and then Fullers London Porter. Several other good selections on tap as well as several Belgian bottle selections. The food was disappointing. I had fish and chips. The fish was cooked well but completely was lacking in seasoning and the fries were seasoned well, but were overcooked. We had pie for dessert, and for a place that supposedly has a pastry chef on staff, seemed more like a frozen pie with a very poor crust. Prices are very high. The food prices are on the high side of reasonable but the beer will run at least $6 a pint, including things that are $4 or less per pint anywhere else in town. Overall a middling stop, and I’m not sure I’ll be back. Certainly not if I’m paying.

A nice place, with good seating either inside or out. It’s definitely amusing to see PITCHERS of Aventinus and Maredsous 8 on offer. Prices are somewhat high though. Didn’t try the food though my friends said it was good.

Very nice looking place with heavy wooden booths and tables. Pictures of fox hunts adorn the walls. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Beer selection was good but they lacked any local beers. About the closest was a Stoudts IPA from Pennsylvania. The food was average pub fare. The prices seemed pretty steep to me but this was my first time in Charlottesville.

Stumbled on this place while going for dinner in Charlottesville. Decided to drop in and have a beer. Glad I did. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. A good selection of brews from both the U.S. and abroad. Prices were reasonable considering the location and what they had on tap. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area.
