Easy to find and a short walk from the station. Rather family styled and food oriented. Customers were clearly not beer geeks. I saw a guy arrive shortly after me with his family, just like me he ordered the tasting tray, he proceeded to chug them without even getting even being explained as to which beer was which. Clearly he was a far more typical customer than me since I didnít get an explanation either as to which beer was which before I specifically asked for one. Anyway, they are one of the few brew pubs in Belgium and their own beers are clearly the main reason to come here. They were however bland, unexciting and tasted like home brews made from extracts to be honest. They were drinkable but you could definitely do without them. You could get samples of all 3 at one, price was decent. Other than that, the beer list was boring at best, usual suspects, none of the less common interesting Belgium breweries, quite a few macro options. Food looked typical, nothing vegan upon first side, cheese heavy vegetarian options appeared to be available as well as gluten free options. I didnít eat anything here. Interior was dark wooden & rather touristy, tad fake and felt a bit cellar like. Service was regular medium prized place, nothing exciting or worthwhile here. Good as a very brief stop for tickers just to scoop their beers, nothing more.

Nice brewpub in central Leuven, pretty cosy and rustic interior. Mediocre beer selection, okay food.

Good place, yet beers are nothing special. 3 brews that are a bit off from what you will expect from Belgian beers.

leuke locatie, redelijk toeristisch, maar ja ze hebben de ruimte er ook voor, bieren zijn niet zo bijzonder

Large space, wood paneled brown bar ambiance, packed dining floor, the mood is something like an Italian restaurant catering to tourists. Beer list was uninspiring so we didnít stay long. Call me unimpressed, but Iíd rather drink at Blauwe Kater or M.

Visited several times including last spring as a prelude to ZBF. Brown tavern, usually on the crowded side. The staff is very friendly and helpful though (understandably) not always attentive when the place is full. The asparagus "ŗ la Flamande" I had was prepared excellently but I have yet to try other dishes. My mean purpose for visiting this is to have their house beers, which are allegedly brewed at the premises and which include one of the best lagers in Belgium; the rest of the beer menu is not unteresting either, with a few beers from local micro breweries. Iíd recommend this to any beer afficionado visiting Leuven.

Good food, nice atmosphere, but rather touristy. Their house beers are not up to much, there are more interesting beer places in town.
