Modern warehouse conversion with a brewery. The place, like the beers, is perfectly fine but nothing special and not really worth the walk from the centre

Well worth the effort of getting down too. We used the underground and bus system to get here, the tram to get back to the station area, to far to walk on a really crisp, windy, cold Sunday afternoon in March 2010. Modern with that old feel you get when the designers leave the original walls up but change almost everything else. This old warehouse houses a modern brewery, kettles at the front, fermenting vessels to the rear, all clearly visible from where ever you sit. I thought the place was classy and my wife enjoyed it too. Upstairs wasn’t open, but I popped up to see, looked just as impressive as ground level did. We were the first customers and I had all four of their beers over the course of our stay, my wife two, each was served beautifully and promptly. The blonde was the pick of the bunch in my eyes, the winter brew coming second. They sold huge bottles to take out, they looked great, but were a bit expensive. The place slowly began to fill with diners and we left to continue or tour of the city using the difficult to work out transport system.

I really enjoyed this pub which was a bit of a walk from the centre of town. The house beers are very nice and the building is superb with beautiful copper brewing equipment all around. The food was tasty and filling. All in all, well worth a visit.

Antwerp’s second brewery. A brewpub located on het Zuid, aquarter with lots of things to see and do. this brewery alas isn’t really one of them. They make three to four beers, depending on the season, all of them rather mediocre. the best one is Nen Bangelijke, which is good, but not bangelijk... The food ain’t bad, and the people generally are friendly. I’ve heard that there is a new brewer, so let us hope things improve!

A brewpub, so they only serve their own brewery’s beers. Excellent pairing with food in the restaurant, though.

Quite an average typical brewpub without any special ambitions. Blond, Bruin and one “strong Belgian Ale” available. A bit less than average quality for the beers, we did not try the food but it seems to be OK. Quite crowdie in the evening but the service was fine and beers is non-expensive. Antwerp has a lot more exiting places to visit, but if you like visiting brewpubs like myself, this is the only alternative in town.

Antwerpens only brewpub is located within walking distance from the city centre. A large and modern hall-like brewhouse with nothing else than three of their own beers on offer. No other guests than us at lunch time, and before the other Norwegians arrived. Friendly and informative bartender. Their beers are ok, without further excitements. In nice weather, as it was on this particular Friday, it is great to walk along the Sint-Michlelskaai back to Antwerp’s centre (visited, 29.04.2011).

Waitng time to have our food whas endless, but theit own beer is really good, nice to visit just for one time.

Visited here 4-5 years ago. Large converted warehouse type building, smart and stylish. Beers were fine without being exceptional, considered visiting again on Friday 18th March 2011 but decided against it and went elsewhere.

Being a brew pub, you only get to taste the home made brews of course. An ok but a bit blunt blonde, an ok brown and a nice "Bangelijke", all served a bit too cold though, especially the Bangelijke with 9.5% ABV needs some warming up before releasing it’s full aroma and flavours. The food is very tasty. Nothing fancy, but honest good (brew) pub food at reasonable prices. Nice to drop by in the afternoon and install yourself at one of the tables with your newspaper or paperback. Very friendly waiting staff!
